Could not make the game last night but got regular updates from my buddy Gaz. Sounds like I missed a good game. Not the result I would hoped for but it is good too see an exciting match. Typical Sam Hughes comes back to haunt us . Bit disappointed in the defence once again. Did we play 3 or 4 at the back ? No trophies again this season me thinks. On to the next game .

I do not see the point if this happens ? In my view , top 2 go up and bottom 2 go down. If the teams struggle for what ever reason , they come back down the next season .

Back to back poor results........ We had enough chances to take the points , but the Ivy keeper was superb . Probably one of the best I have seen in this league for a long while. Poor finishing and sloppy defending cost us this game . The back 3 looked slow and stretched when the youthful Ivy wingers and forwards attacked. To be fair Ivy only had one sub and a weakened side. Big credit to them. I thought Joe Truelove was superb at centre back . I ran a youth team for 8 years and it was great to see 4 players from my teams age group on the pitch. Shows how strong that year was. Hart , Rowe , Hanrahan and Sutton. To add to that Rocky Neal was of the same age group. With Lewis and Colwell in the centre of midfield , we should win more games than we are at present. Seems the rest of the team are not always on the same wave length. Are we setting our stall out to accomodate certain players ? This I feel is going to be a long and unpredictable season , beat teams we are not expected too and lose to teams we should beat. Still not convinced with 3 at the back. Hey ho , bring on the next game. Cmon Parkway.

2 weak goals to give away. To be fair Piper kept them within touching distance with a couple of fine saves. I think Levi was late back from holiday. We played 3 - 5 - 2 , and kept kicking the ball long . Strange ,as Heveran and Martindale are good wing players. We just did not use them well. I would have liked to see Trott in the back 3 as hes gives them a good balance with a cracking left peg. Not sure where he was. We played 3 at the back and they are all centre backs. Time to learn from that defeat and move on. Cmon Parkway.

Got to admit , I have come away from this match disappointed with the effort from the home team. Losing 0 - 2 was not the problem , it was the lack of players being up for this match. I dont get it ? Not a huge crowd , at a guess 280 , a fantastic pitch and a crowd right behind the club. The play looked dis-jointed and a lot of poor passing .But , hey , thats football . Next stop Ivybridge Friday. Cmon Parkway.
