The slap in the face was a tap on the head and I do not think it was intended to be an attack , just an acknowledgement of the timely tackle. Managers / coach's should in no instance call any officials or linesperson a cheat. If you defend this , you are not a true football fan ... :SM_carton:

In all fairness to the ref last night did a good job and he was treated like a piece if rubbish. He kept it together and threatened to send one of the managers / coach's out of the ground. Then the comments of little man syndrome were used. I have seen this ref before , a short mid forties , I think Italian guy. It really winds me up when things do not go some teams way , this sort of action occurs. It is a game for god sake , live with it. Just stamp it out early mate and you will be fine. I follow Parkways first team and the same sort of abuse happens most weeks. It is spoiling the game. Players and managers seem to think they are BIGGER than the game. Good luck.

I watched Partkway last night and it was the first time I have watched them this season. I thought Parkway were the stronger team and deserved the win. I was impressed with the lad Foster at the back. I was appalled at the Elburton bench for keep calling the Parkway linesman a cheat. They also gave the ref a hard time ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, just because they were losing. Respect campaign out the window again !!!!!!!!!!!!! To summarise ,Parkway were the better team , the linesman was not cheating and the ref had a good game.

At the end of the day if a player wants to play for another club.................let hm go. Shorter transfer deadlines are a good idea. This may encourage clubs to bring players from the second string onto the scene.

I also agree with the evening game scenario . To be honest I much prefer Friday evening games.

Dan, we have 6 games to play more than you , so you may not have a problem - but we will .

So whats the answer to so many fixtures being cancelled and the end of the season pile up ?

Starting the season a bit earlier , more evening games , finishing the season later !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reducing the size of the leagues !!!!!!!!!!!!! Not having so many cup competitions ?????????? Just a thought. But hey ,we could always keep it as it is and not play for weeks on end.

Play the cricket on the Sunday ? How many Indian summers do we have ? How long do they last ?

Does anyone else feel its time to move the football season dates. Why not play during the summer months ? We do not have to worry about excessive heat anymore . This start stop season is becoming very frustrating.
