  1. You'll be missing the Bald One from Bolitho tomorrow .he is making the long journey from Plymouth to the mean streets of Hackney for a meeting with the London branch of the Parkway Supporters Club, before accompanying me to the test match at The Oval on Sunday . Think of a less good looking Paddington Bear .Might even buy him a cider....
  2. Nothing wrong at all with have differing opinions on players, matches, tactics or even pasties. As someone once said, everybody sees a different match. Don't hide behind a keyboard and an alias though, turn up at matches and supporters club meetings, have a conversation, disagree, argue even, but respect the other persons views and move on. Don't try and whip up unsupported controversy on forums (although, judging by the response to this thread it seems to be working).
  3. It was Nick Milton, not Rob Farkin, who picked up the red card against Falmouth in the Charity Bowl. Farkin is a big loss to Parkway if he is missing for the next three games (not sure if the second offence was considered a straight red), especially the FA Cup tie on Saturday v Street if the suspension starts immediately. From what I have been told, he has been the leader and organiser for Parkway over the last few games. Him and Milton look a top class centre back pairing.
  4. Huge 1 nil win against the unbeaten league leaders, especially as Parkway were reduced to 10 men early in the second half.
  5. No amount of restructuring can change the fact that the players are not there in the quantity or quality that used to exist. Gave my thoughts on this on a post in another thread, just have to accept that the next few seasons will see more clubs go by the wayside.
  6. Will be interesting to see of this excuse is still in play next season. Or will a Bank Holiday weekend trip from West to East or North Cornwall be considered too much?
  7. Think you'll find that only three people post on this forum, they all have multiple aliases ? '
  8. Believe that Shaun Semmens (ex Godolphin) plays in goal for Larkhall.
  9. Heard rumours that Bodmin tried to bring in James Lorenz from Liskeard over the summer. In a recent Cornwall Football Podcast, Darren Gilbert talked about how difficult it was to sign young players this past close season. Surprising, especially given Bodmin's history of winning silverware.
  10. No agenda, just honest question. From reading the report, both Pople and Joyce were outstanding in centre midfield. The 4-4-2 seems to work as well, seems like an extra centre midfielder would nullify this system.
  11. Two questions for Bald One (or anyone else who wishes to comment). Are Parkway a better side without Shane Krac? Should Mike Smith be a regular starter?
  12. Believe that Kevin Nicholson did the Torquay job for nothing. Received expenses, not a salary.
  13. Willand are a very good side who I believe have finished in the top 4 for the past 6 seasons . A good benchmark for where Parkway need to be. Nobody seriously believed the Western League would be a stroll, it will take time for the club and players to adapt to step 5 and what is needed. Players and management will learn from this and move on.
  14. Full squad according to my man on the ground, will let him give his thoughts on here regarding match in due course. Not sure on reasons for no social media coverage, but not like Parkway as they are usually spot on with this.
  15. Reports from Willand that Parkway are 3 nil down. The high standard of the pasty on offer is apparently the only thing memorable about the evening.
  16. But what about the standard of Western League pasties?
  17. Very strong looking Tavi squad. Can't see where Glyn Hobbs fits in though (barring injuries of course), will he stick around to sit on the bench? Would love to see Godolphin getting back to where they were this season. Good club with good people behind the scenes.
  18. Real shame, Witheridge home or away were always tough opponents for Parkeay. Another victim of changing demography and lifestyles, with too many clubs for the players available in North Devon.
  19. That is a nasty tackle, no arguments about the straight red. Seems like a stupid place to do it as well, no need for such a poor challenge in that part of the pitch. Different set of referees this season who are not as familiar with the Parkway players, they will not get away with as much . Lee and Karl need to nip the ill discipline in the bud.
  20. Cribbs FC away in a few weeks is a possibility. Eyeing up several fixtures in the Bath/Bristol area. Nice Vase/Cup run for Parkway with an away match in London area would be good as well. May even treat Bald One to a pasty or locally available equivalent.
  21. I'm sure the new Mrs Ninja will be fine with it.
  22. The campaign starts here for the new Cornish league from 2019/20 to have the Cornish pasty as its logo.
