Bobjfh got a reaction from RAPPO in On the Road with Helston Athletic in the FA Vase
There are very few clubs at this level who can afford to travel by luxury coach, stay in what looked like a decent hotel and pay for training facilities on match day mornings - when going to Bristol, but Helston can so good luck to them. If Steve Massey wants to do a ‘Class of 92’ for his team, it’s his money and the productions are very professional (Piran films support of the County’s most successful u18 cup exploits a couple of years back was a highlight for me).

Tribute - you will not meet a nicer lad. Watched him a lot for an ‘all conquering’ Truro college side and as an u15 player as captain on tour to the Dankamp tournament - he was happy to play midfield / defence and in goal to help his team - a real credit to Dennis (and family) and how young footballers should behave. To make it as a pro you need something special - and in my humble opinion he has it.

    Exmouth Town 3 Brislington 2
This was an entertaining Vase game which Town could have put too bed early.
Town took the lead after about 20 min when A Jordan Harris shot cannoned in via a defender and the keepers face!!!!
Brislington took advantage of Town switching off, the forwards was in acres of space to nod home.
Callum  Shipton restored the lead after 40 min from a tight angle. HT 2-1
In the second half Brislington started brightly, but didnt really threaten and when Jordan Harris scored the third, you would have thought that was it.
Brislington pulled a goal back in the 86th Minute but didn`t come close to getting the tie level.
Fair play to the Brislington boys they stayed until 7pm in the clubhouse having a few beers .
    A decent bunch
So its Cadbury Heath away on the 14th in the next round .

Adam Carter is on holiday at the moment. Sounded like a poor performance, and a game to forget for Parkway.
It is only one defeat though against a side that are likely to be among the challengers at a tough ground to visit, no need for post mortems or recriminations.  Huge game against Merthyr next week in the FA Cup, big chance for Parkway to put this loss behind them.

South Shield are currently 4th in the Northern Premier League - same level as Truro City so he has already stepped up several leagues and with exposure in that league every opportunity to go further.

At least the Kernow weather won’t quite hit 35C but being in June we can probably offer torrential rain and the odd thunderstorm⛈! And at least it won’t be dry off the pitch🍺❗️

    Yate 2 Town 2
So we start the day with our coach driver getting lost enroute and arriving at the ground at 2.25 (We left at 11.20)
So a delayed kick off in searing heat at 3.05.
Town were out of the traps first and looked good against a team two leagues higher.
Denny scored a deflected goal after about 20 mins. This woke the home side up.
They played some great football on the bowling green surface of a pitch.
It was no surprise when they pulled level after about 40 min.
The second half was more of the same with Yate passing the ball around well and Town defending for there lives UNTIL
Yates keeper forgot why he was in goal (You know what I mean) and tried to dribble the ball past Jordan Harris, who promptly took the ball off him and finished from a tight angle.
Yate were affected by this and Town pressed but couldn`t get the third.
Yate did pull level after 80 min and Town did have to battle to get the draw. The boys were clearly knackered at the end of a tough week.
A great effort this week with a win at Bitton a tough game at Parkway Wednesday and Yate yesterday. The replay is Tues 3 rd Sept at Southern Road (Not a bowling green) UTT
    Att 240 (40 from Town)

Mark - I noticed you didn’t include that game above but it is slightly different, Mousehole are a real quality outfit with exceptional players from 1 to 11 and the bench.
Camelford travelled with 12 (had 24 available for mid week game), but those 12 worked their socks off and were solid in formation all game.
Mousehole play very neat football, short passes / interchanges and then bang out to their two lightening wingers and overload with runners.
Despite Mousehole having the share of play they actually created few real chances in the first half and Camelford creating better chances - scoring (Leighton) from a corner to lead 1-0 at half time. Mousehole’s attackers being caught (correctly) offside time after time which was frustrating for them.
Second half started the same but then Mousehole upped the tempo - helped by the Camels losing the influential Matt at HT on his road to recovery.  Mousehole were quicker and boy are they fit!! Their first goal was there right winger cutting in and drilling a ball in from a close angle, followed shortly by the left winger and midfielder interchanging and setting up their big number 9 for a simple goal (sorry I don’t know their names). Their third was a decent shot from the no9 from the edge of the box and it looked game over.
However, Camelford found some energy and started catching Mousehole - for a team managed by Jake and with Ben as a coach they are vulnerable at the back - mainly because their full backs play like wingers. Camels (Ed) pulled one back with a dipping shot that swerved just as the immaculate Cory was about to palm it. 3-2 with 5 minutes to go and Mousehole actually started to panic a bit - not many teams are going to make that happen. Mousehole saw the game out and were deserved winners but the Camels will take a lot from the game.
Mousehole are a very good outfit and nice people at the club with a lovely playing surface.
Thought all three officials were excellent and only one yellow - for me not a yellow the Camels player played the ball just the Mousehole winger was too quick.
If you want to see step overs / back heels / raking diagonal balls and neat interchanges, along with no moaning - £5 to watch Mousehole is good value.
    Well done both teams.

    Bitton 0 Town 1
A great day out with a trip up the M5 car park.
Town took the lead through a great finish by Ace High after 25 mins.
A  really even first half with town slightly edging it.
In the second half Bitton had a lad sent off for an off the ball incident which only the linesman saw.
Town had a nervous ten minutes at the end with a fantastic save from Chris Wright the town keeper.
Town deserved this hard fought victory . The Att was 92 with approx 30 from Town.
The bar was fun after, nice club. Looking forward to Parkway on Wednesday.

Cheers Bob, well done to Ed as always mate 👌 yeah watched Mousehole at Bodmin last week, agree with all that!! Think that same 9 had the hat-trick at Priory Park. Didn’t add your result as I was just trying to compare the west teams from last season against Premier teams. As someone said probably too early but encouraging to see all the same. Hope it’s all a success, the league restructuring, watched a St.Piran league game yesterday and there was some lovely football from both teams. 👍
