Why is abusing match officials on Twitter far more serious than abusing them face to face?

Know exactly what you mean regarding the glasses. Thought Channel 4 were screening a show called "Selling Houses With Phil SPECTOR" when I read TV guide without putting specs on. Would have been more watchable though...

I dropped into Lantoom park last night to see what progress has been made after the devastating fire.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that things are taking shape which is due to the fantastic community support the club has received.
The new roof is almost complete with just the new corrugated sheets to be fitted.
The inside has also been transformed from a burnt out shell with the plumbing already replaced and the electrics ready to do the second fix after the ceilings have been plastered.
It looks like the club is on target to meet the deadline they have set for playing games in early September.
Congratulations to all concerned, it is great to see the community pull together to restore the facility in times of a crisis.

If your question is that it is two teams in the same club - then to my understanding you can simply dual register. It is only if registering / approaching from another Club that 7 days applies.

Del Boy - I really don’t think it is a question of being bitter or ‘hater’, nor jealously, more a question of a distinct change in how  Mousehole (and there are parallels with Helston) have developed in the last season and a half. When Ezra / Endorsed (also read Steve Massey)first publicised their involvement and commitment to the club(s) is was all - Twitter / Facebook etc. - about developing the club, youth systems and local players, which as a fan of local football was fantastic. Mousehole were going to use their connections to give local lads a shot at better things - Leeds United etc - then it became giving ex academy players from Leeds / France / Ethiopia (tongue in cheek as I don’t know where the lad who was hoping to play in the Olympics for Ethiopia was from)a chance to regain fitness and have a second chance (again admirable) - now it is playing in the SWPL Prem with several full time pros. (Helston went from playing 5 youth players to buying in 3 from N Devon and 4 from St Austell (two local lads admittedly)).
There is no doubt the club(s) will do really well this season and are committed to going further, that’s what we all want to see. There is also no doubt that they have great youth set ups and their ‘sponsors’ are putting the finances in place for facilities etc. - Mousehole having a full time ex pro coach (Helston having a Cornish legend ex pro).
The issue seems to be that the club(s) is still sticking to the original narrative and not updating it to ‘we will do whatever is necessary to get promotion and pick the best players we can afford / have access to do so’ - I can’t see anyone having a problem with that providing that whilst beating teams with far (far) less they retain humility - which Mousehole do
Just a personal take from someone who was quick to say what great things Mousehole were planning.

    That’s your opinion.
Reading the last comment on here I’m just going to enjoy watching the incredible brand of football for the season and enjoy in the success that the club has fingers crossed.
    Can’t please everyone.

Fairly sure it’s at Tier 5 and below for next season - it is definitely at Tier 6 (SWPL Prem - as was). Already seen it used in several PSF. It worked in Junior Football last season (IMO) but will wait to see how it fairs in higher leagues where the egos of players and Refs increase - but there are about four different ways  ‘sin bins’ will work and I am not sure many players know what it entails.

Was good to catch up with you briefly before the game Bob!! Totally agree mate, was impressed with the Camels, Ed as impressive as ever on the ball and doing plenty of leg work for the equally impressive Hopkinson in midfield, he reminds me of Jan Molby! Think Regs team will be more a top half than a bottom half team this season and as you say the Penryn lads play some cracking football under a great young manager, I’ve really enjoyed watching the few games I’ve seen, I’m sure they’ll have a really good season in the new St.Piran league set up. Hopefully catch up with you for a longer chat later in the season Bob, best wishes to Ed for another great season no doubt!! Don’t seem long ago they were about 11 or 12 does it mate!!! 👍⚽️

Fair write up Mark, personally think Penryn will do very well this season - they have a good squad and their addition(s) this year  have strengthen what looked like a team who have played together for a while - Jack will fill his boots in that league. You could also tell they were on their 4th preseason game and the No 2 (sorry I can’t remember his name but he may have been the goal scorer - he seemed to play all over the place) was excellent
Camels have made some very good additions this year and once settled and have a few more pre seasons game together will (IMO) have a good season - and may surprise a few in the Prem. I think Reg has stayed on for another season as last year was a nightmare (loosing 4 of the best young players in the county to university and an unbelievable run of injuries in vital positions) - hopefully if his last year it will finish much better!!
I actually thought result was a fair one but would not have questioned a draw either or even a Penryn win - Camels, for me, just had that little bit more game management. Kev Knowles was excellent and his brief to the players before the game on the new rules was exceptional - I’m not sure how many players know all the changes!!!
Camels always ‘utilise the facilities’ of host clubs and i’m sure there are not many teams who spend more in the bar after games!!! especially with ‘Older’ holding court at the bar and providing quality nourishment.
Good luck to all involved for the coming season and hopefully catch up on a touch line soon Mark.

Webby191 - I am sure that one of the factors for deciding was that no club would ‘pass’ another club in the West League to get to a game - you clearly have to pass Torpoint and Saltash when travelling by road. Your appeal to the FA must surely be that they cannot consider the ferry as a viable ‘main’ route for travel - unreliability / frequency /waiting time / poor weather etc. The same holds true for Torpoint - whilst we don’t know what their stance is about playing in the East, but would say if they don’t Appeal it’s scuppers your Appeal.
Assuming you Appeal and it is upheld the obvious two teams from the West would surely be Saltash and Callington - by the criteria given??
There are lots who support you and what you have achieved in the county - as was clear when a lot of us puts ours hands in pockets to help the club meet bills a couple of years ago.
    Good luck from me.
