Just arrived at the ground, an hour early and my God it’s absolutely banging already.
Really hoping the boys put on a show today as the people of Truro/cornwall/exiles have turned up.
Quite emotional about it all tbh.
    Bloody brilliant

Lol I was in the stand behind the goal and my watch told me numerous times that the decibel level was dangerous for my health - it was loud!
Whether that atmosphere was lost because of the open nature of the stadium isn’t anyone’s fault.
There were plenty who had had a few and a lot of chanting and singing going on.
Need maybe a few more songs as I’m heavily fatigued from spelling our clubs name. Thank god we’re not Middlesbrough!
Absolutely fab day out - I really hope the word spreads and those crowds level out comfortably at 4 figures.
    Cornwall deserves nice things!

Truro City 1 Dorking Wanderers 2
I was really impressed with the new set-up at Langarth, with a great crowd turning up to watch the first game. It was bizarre that the game was allowed to start with City in red and Dorking in orange, as they looked very similar - 2 minutes in and Dorking went in and they came out wearing their shirts inside out, with no numbers visible obviously - very strange! Dorking took a deserved lead with a header from their striker, although it looked like a clear push on the City defender. The home team grew into the game and equalised via Tyler Harvey, although I couldn’t see from the opposite end whether it had deflected in off a visiting defender. 1-1 at halftime.
Dorking took the lead again early in the second half and City never really looked like getting back into it, although one of the home defenders did head narrowly wide. 1-2 final score.
Really enjoyed my first visit to City’s new home, although the visitors deserved the win, but I was impressed with Tyler Harvey, he was lively all afternoon. John Askey changed things midway through the second half and it helped City, just not enough to get a point. It was good to see a lot of ex-City players there watching. Great crowd there supporting, and it will be interesting to see how many are there in a few weeks time, because obviously the crowd was inflated with people intrigued to see the new setup. I will be back to watch a few games throughout the season. Well done to everyone involved in getting Truro ‘home’ again.

Does just look like a basic training top you pick up from sports soccer. 50 quid for a local team top is ridiculous.  Surly as a good will gesture they could have maybe done a 50 per cent off for Truro residents seen as they been away for a few years.

From the Club website... City have signed Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain on a 3 mo th loan from Kidderminster. The 24yr old is the brother of former Arsenal and Liverpool player Alex. A product of the Portsmouth Academy. He is eligible to play from tomorrow.

Sorry, £50 for a shirt (even a Premier League or an England one) is a rip off.

Its the target for the foreseeable, no chance of getting out of this league against some of the budgets up the top end. Wonder what the owner is prepared to put in.

We're predicted rock bottom? Having moved home and good early signs that under the new owner we're going to be that bit more professional. What are the odds on us staying up - I think I'll put some cash on that if theres some value

The referee would simply ask the players name when issuing the caution/red card. This is the official process for all games, even when referees have team sheets.
Admittedly it's rarely carried out this way for anything above St Piran league as the team sheets are accurate and the players are often well known anyway.
We rarely get team sheets for pre season games.

Truro City are delighted to announce the signing of Seidou Sanogo on a two-year deal, until the summer of 2026.
Sanogo, a midfielder by trade, has been training with the Tinners’ first team squad throughout pre-season and he caught in the eye in friendly victories over Torpoint Athletic and Willand Rovers.
Last season, Sanogo was a regular for Isthmian Premier Division side Folkestone Invicta, where he bagged eight goals. Prior to joining the Step Three outfit in December 2023, he previously played for Chatham Town, helping the Chats win the Isthmian League South East title in 2022-23.
“I am very happy and the club are perfect for me,” he told trurocity.co.uk. “The style the team play is good and the manager has been pushing for me to sign because he believes we will do very well in this league.
“For me, I will always work hard to try my best for the badge and for the fans and so far, I am really enjoying it.
“I can see that this club is a project that is building momentum with a new stadium and that will mean more fans can come and see us express ourselves as players.
“I think this will a good year for Truro City, helped by the new manager, who is very experienced at this level.
“I feel that this is right move for me at this moment in time and although I was pleased with my performances in the two friendlies, there is more to come from me in a Truro City shirt.”
