Lucky its only the one point, one for the point they picked up, but then surely there should be an additional punishment?

Tbf the Eastbourne lad would have been shot behind a curtain and the game been allowed to finish in that scenario.

Tbh they need to split North/South back into North/Central/South and maybe have 18 or 20 team divisions.

They need to earn those crowds not expect them, and that comes with community engagement not just a standard of football.

I think they're just naive/stupid. They seriously need someone to do PR full time, and someone to run the website better than it is - theres pages on there that are almost a decade old. No simple to fix things like player bios/meet the squad. Regular updates on player fitness etc.

Depends on the extent of the comment, case by case basis. I didn't agree with the joke (although it was pretty tame really), but nor did I agree with some bloke having his livelihood taken away because he made a bit of a tit of himself on a closed, members only forum. I guess thats why we have mods to make these decisions/judgement calls.
I'd prefer we all kept it friendly and kept it to the football, but particularly with football, emotions flare up, fans get excited, I'll hold my hands up and say last year when Truro won the playoff I was probably seen as a bit obnoxious, but it simply came from a place of being very excited and a lot of joy.
For the record I've always liked this place, its pretty friendly and I hope it goes from strength to strength over many years.

If you are going to become the 'county team' then you need to make sacrifices and have programmes like this, even when they don't consistently produce fruit. So much of what the club needs to do is aspirational and hopefully will inspire. Doing things the right way is the only way to grow unless you're going to chuck loads of money at it, and as has been discussed, whats the point of chucking loads of cash at this, wheres the return?

I dont think it is if you're only thinking about money. I guess if you've got a lot of it, the whole process of growing a club would be quite entertaining. If they can pump in enough money to build the infrastructure and a team that gets Truro to League 2 I guess they sell to someone with deeper pockets who tries to do the same on a bigger scale. The dream is to unlock the whole duchy and have a county football team like Norwich are to Norfolk. Obviously this is highly unlikely.

Oh its definitely not going to be easy, and Truro are going to have to give more than they get for quite some time, but a massive prolonged charm offensive is the only way to grow the club

Said this for years. All county schools football cup finals etc should be played there. Would be something as a 13 year old kid etc to dream about, playing under flood lights with a few hundreds supporters from each school etc attending, would be magic in the eyes of those kids.
