With regards whether a pitch could sustain rugby league in summer and footy during winter.  It very much depends on how it has been constructed. Modern day pitches are referred to as desso, which is a hybrid mixture of hard wearing rye grass, which is then inter stitched with plastic grass. This is grown over a drainage carpet.
I would suggest any groundsman would rather have summer sport, as opposed to being over played in the winter such as the parkway pitch. 

Really wish they'd stream these meetings, so those further afield can contribute.

That is the reality of this league I'm afraid, playing resources and budget matter. 10 clubs in the NLS average 1000+ for their home attendances (Maidstone, Torquay and Yeovil significantly more than that), Truro are below 300 and at the bottom of that measure by a long way. Yeovil (for example) have a full time squad of 23 players, Truro could only name 4 subs v Chippenham (and Stewart Yetton was amongst those).
Keeping City up ,and ensuring NLS football for the hoped for return to Cornwall next August, will be Paul Wotton's biggest managerial achievement.

Absolutely agree with this. PW now needs to be backed. I'm a complete convert having seen us a couple of times this season. Thought we were brilliant v Yeovil. I don't think its a coincidence we're conceding so late in games, others have bigger squads and/or are full time. We should be fine though, definitely have enough about us to get to 50 points.

Really need some of the walking wounded back. Not being able to name a full bench is a little worrying. Understand Dan Rooney now added to the injured list too. Fantastic start to the season, without the injury-time goals we've conceded we'd be top!

I've been told that initial ground works have now been completed (as in platform)
Drainage is underway.
Top soil has been sieved and separated.
Specialists that will be laying the pitch surface, are starting in October.
Seems to be moving along nicely 😃

Understand about the money, but it comes down to what Paul Wotton's objectives are. Last season it was promotion, this season it's ensuring they are playing step 2 football in the new ground. He has got a small squad to work with, and nothing like the budget of teams around him (several of which are full time). It's down to him as to how he uses these resources.
Know it's a sunny day in September, but dare I mention the Bolitho Park pitch as well. Even with Truro's early exit from both the FA Cup and Trophy last season, we ended up with an almighty fixture pile up last April between them and Parkway. And there's an extra 2 home league matches this time around.

I think so. The concern for me is they've played well for a lot of the 4 games, and haven't really got rewards. Performance is likely to dip at some point, its just how seasons tend to work out, will their luck change and will they get points through not playing as well. They really need a couple more bodies, I'd like to see two new wingbacks so the manager can bring on fresh legs with 20 to go.
