poor game to watch as a neutral only one player stood out to me and thats ryan fice, brilliant work rate with some quality touches!! although liam eddy warming up constantly for 80mins caught the eye of many!!!??? :drink:

At 0 - 0 the 1st half was interesting - 2 completely different styles of play from the teams and I thought the result could have gone either way.

2nd half, however, Falmouth dominated possesion and their attitude seemed to suggest they were more 'up for it'.

In the end - a deserved win for Falmouth - could have won by more but for a resolute performance from Mamsy Sabo in the PZ defence.

Illonanno5,

To sum up last Nights game at Falmouth SCRAPPY,

Falmouth on the whole played the better Football but Penzance where defending well I thought The Penzance No 7 was their best player he was quick , the ref was not the best, he came from Camelford & has never been a Favourite with the Town suporters, still at the end of the day a hard game but 3 more points for Town,

Hammers :c: :yahoo:

an extremely depleted penzance team were unlucky to leave falmouth empty handed last night, i thought. seeming they were without mark vercesi jonny ludlam james miller ryan bushby andy westgarth and richie rundle was only fit enough for the bench. im sure it would of been a different story if they had all been involved.

Hugo I do not agree Falmouth had two top players out ,

& if Penzance played more football, Rather than spending most of the game defending Falmouth would have won by at least 3-1,

but at the end of the day 11 men each on the pitch makes game

Hammers :c::yahoo: :c:

Hugo not sure if we were watching the same game but all Penzance did in the first half was hit a long ball and the second half was like a training session for Falmouth as Penzance struggled to get out of there own half, but for bad finishing by Falmouth which has been a problem all season Falmouth should of won by a few more goals. As for players missing well as hammers has stated we were missing a couple but we would'nt use that as an excuse because Falmouth has a squad and to use missing players as an excuse shows a lack of respect to those that played on the night. It was good to see a good crowd at Bickland to see Falmouth move upto third spot again and with Parkway loosing we could be after that third position at the end of the season.

i mentioned 5 regular starters for penzance there , and if any manager took 5 of there better players out there side there always going to be struggling from minute 1 to minute 90. when you take this many players out a side team cohesion is always going to be low, due to bringing player in from the 2nd team etc. its important for all the players to be singing off the same hyme sheet as it were, to play the type of football which is good to watch, that may of been the reason for penzance going route one up to the big strong robust centre forward in gerren james. sadly we just didnt have enoug hon the night.

regards

hugo

Falmouth well in the title race now!!

I think Alan will just take one game as it comes. After all Alans aim at the start of the season was a top six finish. Maybe we can expect a top four finish now. If this happerns then it has been a good season.

Falmouth do have to play Buckland home and away yet. Picking up six points would be incredible, with the form Buckland are in. I think we have Plymouth parkway home to come aswell. And we have finished with Bodmin now in the fixtures, which is a shame, as they caught us early by beating us when Alan was trying to get a settled team. But whos to say what can happern. Certainly a top four finish as oppossed to top six is looking a lot more likily now.

But if Alan can keep this squad together with the addition of one or two, then the next few years looks very promising, on the field.

Up the Town
