Weekend football at Bickland Park

Bovey Tracey make their first ever appearance at Bickland Park on Saturday.

After winning the South Devon League in 2007-08 they applied for membership to the SWPL and in their first season in the Div.1 East finished as runners up(2008-09) to Exeter Civil Service but still had the ambition for the SWPL Premier Division.

Although hovering just above the relegation zone they are a progressive club having witnessed their facilities in March.It was in this game (5-0) that Matt Drummond netted the only hat trick in Falmouths history in the SWPL.

Bovey are managed by former Torquay United player Tom Kelly whose full career made 375 appearances

On Sunday at Bickland Park a Charity match for 'Special Lives Appeal' kicks off at 1-30pm when an Arsenal FC Celebrity team face the Bickland Allstars .
