paul white
does anybody know why torpoint have to travel to verwood town for a midweek tie, with a 3pm departure, surely a saturday would have been better with the distance involved, As St Blazeys tie is scheduled for next saturday why couldn't torpoints, with their tie against bodmin moved to midweek
Adlestrop
Absolute farce! I doubt even Cornwall F.A. would have been that unreasonable.
bighairydave
Isn't the date agreed between the two clubs?
DanBlazey
It does seem strange when Torpoint to Verwood comes out at 3 hours 17 and Salisbury to St Blazey 3 hours 22.
paul white
Isn't the date agreed between the two clubs? don't think torpoint had any say in the matter, dates for cancelled games was already decided, just don't understand blazeys opponents getting a saturday but not torpoint bleddy long way for midweek game at this level lets hope torpoint and the other teams go through shame about bodmin/parkway

And as you will have to leave mid-afternoon at the latest, at least you will avoid the rush hour queues! Plenty of sympathy from this part of Cornwall though - our recent midweek Vase replay at Hengrove led to us all getting back in the early hours. Mike Odgers
I can not see why Torpoint can't play next Saturday as it is a 3rd.Round Proper tie. The F A Rule- POSTPONEMENTS '---- Vase ties must be played on or before the following Thursday (Saturday in th 3rd.4th.5th.6th. Round Proper)'
Torpoint Imp
The FA also expect that where poss replays are held midweek. As Verwood agreed to travel to Cornwall on Tue for a replay it is reasonable for them to expect us to now do the same. Factor in CFA invoking a "5 day rule" for cancelling Senior Cup games, we are stuck with midweek. Simon, our Sec, and Verwood spent yesterday in discussion with Wembley. If as is 99% certain tomorrow nights game is postponed, the following dates will apply. Sat 11th Verwood V Torpoint (Vase) Tue 14th Possible replay at The Mill Sat 18th Torpoint V Bodmin (moved from the 4th) What I need to confirm today is what happens if the game doesnt take place on Saturday (we could be having the same problem all over again)

The problem you then have the Vase has priority over all other games until your game is played. Very frustrating. Good Luck
