Wadebridge 0 Falmouth 4

Good game with plenty of chances man of the match was the home keeper who made some stunning saves, however Chapman for Falmouth also pulled off a great save at the end to keep a clean sheet.

Drummond 1, Densham 2 , and a penalty for Vercessi.

Good result for Falmouth one more goal and they would have gone third.

Wadebridge gave it a good go, but Falmouth were always in control and could have scored more but for the young lad in goal.

The Red Viking,

Not much to add really, Very nice set up at Wadebridge,

Falmouth were rarely fully stretched, but like you I thought the Wadebrige keeper was top notch, not a big keeper but some of his saves were as good as you would see in any top game of Football,

& credit to Wadebridge they never stopped trying,

Towns Game tomorrow V Saltash should be a cracker,

Dave can you shine some light on what time KO is for our Throgmorton Cup match away to Teignmouth on Monday. Contrasting times on SWPL website, this website, St Blazey official website and what we have been informed at the club!

What time do you think it is - SWPL website suggests: "

Throgmorton Cup 3rd Round : 1.30pm Unless stated"

Nick,

you are correct, heard that Penryn`s ressies played on the pitch on Sat.

Shame if it is off as good away support was going down to Penryn, and train tickets have already been paid for by at least 15 Buckland fans,

I am going down in a car as well as the players who are driving down.

Lets hope it is on as not many will go down if the game is rearranged for mid week.

Wake up Lafs, or was it too much sherbet? Of course, you could always phone Phil Hiscox to get a definite answer.

Teignmouth v St Blazey - OFF

When was the last time Blazey played Dan?

It must be close to crisis point with postponements in the Vase-Senior cup and only 15 league games played.

The lowest played (15) in the SWPL and after today 9 games behind Penzance.

According to the latest on the SWPL site the Penryn game will now be played midweek under lights on the 24th.Jan.

A good crowd expected for the 'borough'but a hell of a travel for the Buckland boys.

Teignmouth dont have lights so another Saturday lost for St.Blazey

Well this certainly opens up a can of worms. Two Throgmorton games called off today, one at Penryn, one at Teignmouth. Buckland have to travel to Penryn midweek for the rearrranged fixture becasue they have lights. Blazey however will have their fixtures rearranged and will travel to Teignmouth on a Saturday because they do not have lights. Opinions please?

Throgmorton Cup Saltash 3 Falmouth 1.

Falmouth V Saltash,

Unfortunatly only one team turned up for this match, & only one team wanted to win this game, Saltash,

Falmouth may as well have stayed home, As a Falmouth suporter I could not believe that I was watching my team trying to play Football,

Falmouth could have stayed all night & not win the game,

I can only sum up Falmouths performance, in one Polite word

TERRIBLE

Mr HAMMERS sure Falmouth went down by 3 goals early on, but if you counted the ammount of chances that Falmouth had to score then they could have easily have got back into it....

A lot of players looked tired maybe playing a couple of days ago may have something to do with that, but in the second half they were much better.

That was because at last Dan Green was brought back into midfield from his right back exile and prompted a lot of the good work.

Terrible .... Yes first 20 minutes, and yes Saltash were up for it and a lot of late tackles proved that !!!!

Falmouth did not deserve anything but at least tried to get back into it.

By the end of the match no defenders were left on the pitch ... all off either injured or absent...for Falmouth.... :SM_carton_y:

The red Viking

Sorry I cannot agree with you, yes Falmouth had a game on Saturday,

But that was an easy game for them I watched it & they were never working at full stretch,

but on Monday one would have thought that was the Boxing day match,

Saltash were always in control of the game, some of the Falmouth passing was awful, & I was not the only Falmouth suporter who thought so, at times Falmouth looked like a combination side up against a team two leagues above them,

The Buckland fans who were there because the Penryn game was off could not believe that Falmouth could play so badly,

& Ludlum should have been replaced at the start of the second half,

He was like a dog with no tail, he was never in the game,

I agree the second half Falmouth were better, that is because they had a rocket from the Manager which in my view was fully justified,& liam Eddy made a big difference,

but by then it was too late Saltash were never going to let Falmouth back into the game,

I know its not an easy job rearranging fixtures, but feel under the circumstances it does seem a bit unfair. A weekend fixture would be much better for both players and supporters of Buckland, after all its not a half hour trip down the A30/38 :(

St Blazeys season will turn into a farce now. No football for 6 weeks and if they were to progress in any of the cups then its gona be mad few months. I think every wednesday and saturday is fully booked in April going into May. At some point its already 3 games a week. A fairly small young squad may struggle, time will tell. Anyway, weve a F.A vase match to look forward to. First team players played against the second team mixed with Lostwithiel players tonight to actually get some football played before saturday. Bring it on.
