Looks like the title race is now between the top five. Interesting run in.

Personally i think the title will go to one of three, Buckland, Bodmin or Torpoint. If Parkway could find some consistency then they have the firepower to be in the mix as well. I might be wrong, and this is in no way disrepecting Falmouth's challenge but i think they will drop away. There are a lot of games to play and there are a lot of teams in the Premier who are very capable of beating the leading teams on their day so expect some surprise results along the way. For the leading teams it is all about consistency and not losing too many points against your main rivals when you play them. Yhe team that can put a decent run together between now and the end of the season has a great chance. If as close as last year down to the last weekend of games it will certainly be exciting.

What news on the cup match at Blazey tonight - definitely on?

Bit early for that I reckon.

The pitch held up very well on Saturday, and I'm sure it's still playable now.

It just depends on how much rain falls today. It's raining heavily here now, but the latest BBC weather maps show that the south coast is forecast to miss the worst of it so I think there are grounds for optimism.

Saltash United (0) 1-2 (1) Torpoint Athletic

Goal Scorers

Saltash United: Carlton Farnham 90+1

Torpoint Athletic: Mike Roberts 44, Liam Thornton 77

Attendance: 100+, with a good 30-40 from Torpoint Athletic.

Great result for the Gold & Black Army last night. Both teams played well and the game was a good fast flowing game, with good passing, a good advert for the league. The goals came from Mike Roberts, a good run with a low drive. The Liam Thornton goal was a header in to the corner of the net, with a Darren Hicks cross. Saltash had Stuart Clark sent off for a 2nd Yellow Card and then Carlton Farnham had a late goal in the 91st minute, so it made it a grandstand finish. The crowd made it a good atmosphere, especially when we had 40 from Torpoint. Also I would like to thank the Saltash Committe for making the Torpoint Committe welcome at half time, the prawn sandwichs were lovelly, it was like being at Old Trafford! :clapper:

Torpoint seem to be the surprise package of the group but can they keep it up? But they are getting result after result..at thr start of the season don't think anyone would have gave them a chance but now it seems they have every chance.but u can never write off bodmin buckland or parkway
