hedgerow
Congratulations to Stuart, players and backroom staff of Torpoint Ath FC for a tremendous result this afternoon. Keep the flag flying for the League. It is a shame the FA reduced the prize money per Round this year. £1,200 is better then a kick in the teeth though. Bit harsh on Bodmin, losing the game and having to pay so much towards Stansted travelling expenses. Once again, congratulation Torpoint Ath. Good Luck in the next Round

Karen & Mark
Massive well done to Torpoint :clapper: Hopefully Buckland will get a good run in the not too distant future Got to say that there is quite a league fixture backlog for both Bodmin and on going for Torpoint now, which is going to suit Buckland just fine. Karen & Mark
Ivybridge 1 Buckland 7 Great result for the Bucks on a very sticky and heavy pitch. Lynch 4 (1 pen ) S revell 2 S Gill You could see the spirit leave Ivybridge after Lynchy put home the penalty to make it 1- 3, they are a good side are Ivybridge very physical and at one point I thought they looked like they could get a result. But as a Blazey follower noticed, they tire easy and heads certainly dropped after the penalty. Ivybridges number 7 looked a class player and I thought the young left and right backs also played very well, with their number 2 making some troublesome runs deep into Buckland territory . In the end though Buckland played some superb football, just a pity lynchy couldn't get a fifth as that, I was told, would have equalled Gavin Hammons 5 against Tavistock. Guest Rydon Ranger
A big well done to Torpoint, fantastic result for the club and a big boost for the SWPL. Paul
Well done to Torpoint. A great result away from home. St Blazey will see todays result between Levertock and Bemington as a chance missed as Bemington were thrashed 4-1 today. Surprised to see Bodmin knocked out. Good luck to Torpoint.....theyve been consistent this season, a good draw and Wembley is getting very close!!!

Good Luck in the next Round Bloxwich weren't too keen either on a home draw against a long-distance opponent, their chairman Rod Jones explained “It’s a fantastic draw for the club but the rules of the competition are that with the distances involved and as we are the home side we have to pay for the visiting side’s travel costs. It would of course be superb if the lads could go all the way to Wembley but this extra cost will be a big strain on the finances for a club of our size. It would be a big help if we can get a good crowd in on the day or maybe get some local business people to sponsor the game”

If you get a an away draw, perhaps put on an extra coach with the supporters contributing towards the cost. I am sure you will get a lot of interest

Torpoint have earned quite a few thousand so far. Not that simple mate. Take the trip to Bristol Manor Farm as an example. Crowd only about 55 (25 away) Coach plus officials expenses probably £1000. After our share of the loss lucky to put £200 in the bank, and yesterday will be very similar with the officials coming from Manchester.

Mike, I can only imagine the artificial pitch was frozen aswell, making it unplayable. Im afraid even with this technology 3g pitches will freeze. The only other reason is perhaps the pitch had to be booked in advance.
kitbag
Does anybody know when the Senior Cup q/final draw is due to take place ? Not sure when the draw is Dereck, but good luck in the quarters,i would imagine that you would want to avoid the winners of Camelford and St Austell away.Camelford must havea great chance of progressing and could go all the way to the final again whoever they meet.Pleased we gave you a good game at St Teath a bit dissapointed to lose on the day,but good to get the result against Sticker in our league cup.Best wishes to all the teams left in should be a good day out maybe this is the year for the G'S WHO KNOWS.By the way the day we played you my lady was in a pub somewhere in london being chatted up by an elderly irish man,who was friends with a man who owns a taxi firm in newquay and is a football manager, hows that for coincidence!
