Buckland went on to score 4 more goals in the second half 3 from Burgess and 1 more from Lynch Torquay United in the next round at HOmers. This is the first time Buckland have beaten a team from a higher league after 5 attempts Hamworthy Radstock, Bridport Bideford and Plymouth Argyle have beaten us in the vase, FA Cup and st lukes cup Well done Buckland

Guest Rydon Ranger
are elmore in a higher league? , i thought western 1 was the same step as peninsula prem?? You are correct aceofspades, Elmore are in Western 1 as are Bridport which is the same step as SWPL Premier. So unfortunately Alfonso, you are still waiting for that first competative win against higher opposition. I am sure that it will happen soon. :drink:
DanBlazey
The general consensus is that SWPL Premier is stronger than Western 1 anyway.

Would be a terrific result, looking forward to this one Only difference will be fitness levels, as there are many players in this league who could easily play for Torquay United its just that they are not in the know and have never been given the chance. Pro football is all about who you know and not what you know. I love Ian Holloways attitude, he tells his Blackpool Squad that the oppostion are just a bunch of Big Time Charlies ! Perhaps thats how Buckland should approach this upcoming game ? Come ye Yellows :yahoo:
