Callington 1 Falmouth 4

Not a bad game. and Callington held their own 1st half and after going one down hit back and went in 1 1 at Halftime, second half was more Falmouth but Champman had to make a couple of saves.

In the Falmouth deserved the win.

Drummond 3 goals, Vercensi 1, three assists for Dan Green and he hit the post from a cross.

Now a trip to Saltash lets see if they can actually win against them.... :drink:

Throgmorton Cup 3rd Round: Teignmouth 2-3 St Blazey

Crowd: about 70 (30 from Blazey)

An absolutely fantastic win for St Blazey on a difficult pitch on the South Devon coast.

Goals from Higman (2) and Reski (Pen)

St Blazey advance to the quarter finals where they will face Royal Marines at Cullompton on Weds 23rd Feb.

I know nobody on here really listens to Radio Cornwall anymore, but I had it on coming back from Devon this afternoon.

In the rare moments when the hosts reluctantly dragged themselves away from talking about rugby or Truro City, they did quickly rattle off some other random scores. They had something to say about Illogan RBL, Threemilestone, Madron and St Buryan (all respectable teams I am sure), but St Blazey, who produced a fantastic cup win in Devon today, didn't even get a mention.

Are these people on the same planet as the rest of us?

VOSPERS OAK VILLA 4 - 0 GODOLPHIN

Well done to Vospers who are a very robust, determined and well organised side who have done the double over us this season, no complaints about that. But whilst we do not want to take anything away from Vospers we are incredibly frustrated by the performance of this afternoons referee.

I don't know this guys name but quite what he is doing taking charge of a match at this level of football nobody knows, he was an absolute out and out embarrassment.

We have been fortunate this season to have had several of the top refs on the circuit but today was a different story. I would not put this referee in charge of a Duchy 5 match. I am not accusing him of being biased but just absolutely, completeley, utterley and totaly unaccetably bad, it was almost as if he did not know the rules of the game. I am aware that we have a shortage of refs, but surely things can't possibly be this desperate. :angry2:

Fair play to Vospers though, as good a unit as we have come up against this season, and top of the league tonight.

Yes the Hoff, the team spirit is clear to see in that Vospers side. I think the management team have done a fantastic job in 12 months to turn the teams fortunes around. They were struggling on or near the bottom of the league for most of last season, but they have stuck to the task and produces a very solid outfit who i would say are now genuine title contenders.
