Really looking forward to the Saltash United v Falmouth Town encounter in the Cornwall Senior Cup.

Unfortunately, I missed the midweek league game, so hoping for "the ashes" to "bounce" back.

I am sure there will be several "ashes" players who are still hurting from the midweek game and wishing tonot let the season just fizzle out.

only second goal Liam has ever scored for Buckland in over 150 appearances the other was in a throgmoton cup tie last year, well done lads the winning goal game in the 88 minute,

Luke horrocks my man of the match.

If am being honest St Austell deserved a point out of the game. great away following for their 1st visit to Homer Heath.

Your probably right there.

Although Buckland should have been four one up at half time.

St Austell never gave up and pinned us back for a prolonged period in the second half.

Like I said , Buckland looked really tired having played a Torquay side with no fewer than seven full time pros on Wednesday and just seemed to hoof the ball, which suited SA just fine.

But its never over until the Fat Lady Sings !

Thompson is still a crap ref though !

Witheridge 6-2 St Blazey

Blazey goals from Hollow and Zalick.

Ref had a shocker - should only have been one penalty, not three! Could that have changed the course of the game? We'll never know. 4-2 would have been a better reflection of the play.

Crowd: about 45 with 15 from St Blazey.

NDD - Have a look at your tea bar prices. That was all the St Blazey fans had to talk about at half time (I'm sure you'd prefer people to talk about what a great little club you have there). We all know the need to make a decent profit on such things, but there is a fine line between that and daylight robbery. 75p for a miniscule cup of tea is not on.

Aside from that, the usual warm welcome at Withy and I've really got the hang of the Morchard Bishop route now!

Wadebridge 1 Ivybridge 3

Wadebridge 1 Ivybridge 0

Wadebridge 1 Ivybridge 1(Dean Smith)

Wadebridge 1 Ivybridge 2(Sam Stevens)

Wadebridge 1 Ivybridge 3(Sam Stevens)

Scrapy first half for both teams, when on 30 mins wadebridge scored against the run of play. Ivybridge come out for 2nd half with all guns blazing and were unluckly not to be level after 10 mins of intense pressure on the home sides goal. It was only a matter of time before Ivybridge scored and when they did on 65 mins there was only going to be one winner and it wasn't going to be the home side. Ivybridge doubled their lead on 68 mins, they rapped up the game with a 3rd goal with 15 mins to go. The score could have been alot worse if it was not for the keeper who made some excellent saves and some not so good finishing by the away team.

Crowd of about 60.

Watched Penzance v Tavistock.

Both teams had few chances, Tavistock a high ball the keeper grabbed in the air and a poor back pass which was pounced on for Tavistock to score the only game of the match. That's it 2 chances.

Penzance had a few high balls into the box the first 20mins, a couple of corners and not much else. Roughly 8-10 chances the whole game.

The report in the paper should be about 3 lines long.

Penzance were without Wayne Quinn and it showed how the team is made up around him. Danny Magee did his best getting the ball into the box and was Man of the Match.

Penzance Under 7's, The Raiders, were ball boys for the match and they gave a little display of football at half-time. There was a lad playing who is their captain and he was pure talent, even at that age. I was told his name but have forgotten it during the evening but you read it here first. 9 years from now, at 16, he will be one hell of a player if he carries on playing.

Dan 75p for a cup of tea!!!!! No offence mate but when we come to Blazey or any other club we put ££££££ behind the bar.

One pen in three!!! I would of said two but not gonna split hairs. Blazey very poor today not what was expected as we do our own prediction league in house with most goin for a close Withy win or draw today.

Crowd poor today have to agree but in the fical world of football if either side were doing great crowd would of been better but only counted 10 from Blazey and no SINGING.

I said I wouldn't gloat today but as you have found something miniscule to find fault with as you cant talk about the match.

WITHY 6-2 BLAZEY :clapper: :clapper: :clapper::yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Witheridge scorers Steve Ebdy 2, Jordan Charran 2, (one from the half way line) Richard Blake and Tony Radford.

P.S Don't even thin about the we had reserves line because so did we.

On a side note all the best for the rest of the season and hopefuly if things go ok for us we will see you again next season.

im sure the supporters were grateful of a cuppa at 50p, when we came out for the 2nd half at trungle parc yesterday the temperature had dropped significantly, very good 3 points against a very determined mousehole team who never gave up, overall would say we deserved it as we did miss some chances had a couple of goal line clearances but as i said mousehole never gave up and made it hard for us, disappointing end to the game when the mousehole skipper seemed to let his frustration get the better of him but good 3 points and nice to get a clean sheet

Full report and pics in this Weds Newquay Voice and on the official club website the same day. BTW, you heard wrong, although surprised you heard at all. Crowd count 72, no more than a dozen home fans, must have been on the St Pirans day jolly over the Dunes.

After gathering statistics from various sources, I am able to calculate that the average price of a 'cup of tea' in the south west region is approximately 60p.

Depending on which particular blend of tea you like, Cups of tea should cost no more than about 20p to make, with tea bags costing approximately 2.7p each (depending on the brand, and the amount purchased), electricity for boiling the kettle at around 2p, water at approximately 3p (per kettle load), milk at around 2p per cup (this figure varies depending on the strength of tea required by the customer) and sugar which fluctuates between 0p and around 1p depending on the customers requirements. Additions to this cost are paper cups, which will cost around 1p each, or china mugs, which can be re-used (although the down side to china cups are that they need to be washed, which could incur labour charges and additional water charges, which in turn will boost the cost of the tea by around 2/3p) An instrument will also be required to stir the tea. Personally I believe a silver spoon is the way forward as they can be re-used throughout the day without requiring a clean until the end of the day, thus keeping the cost of tea to a minimum. Clearly there also needs to be facilities for making tea, such as a kettle, water supply, electricity, and of course a trusty tea lady/man to serve the thirsty customer which could all bump up the cost of the tea.

ways and means in keeping tea prices to a minimum and keeping our loyal football fans happy:

1) Drink cold tea thus saving on purchase of a kettle and electricity.

2) Those of you that have sugar: don't have sugar.

3) Those that have milk: don't have milk.

4) MAKE YOUR OWN TEA AT HOME, AND BRING A FLASK.

I hope clubs that are struggling in this current climate take these statistics on board and realise that you are upsetting football fans by charging a disgusting average of 60p, and making profit of 40P!! Lets hope we see change in the very near future.
