After a lengthy wait in Treliske last night and possibly the longest ever wait for an answer following an x-ray, I'm relieved to confirm that David's leg is not broken; ligament damage has been diagnosed, not ideal but certainly better than first thought.

Delighted that the G won again, another great result and top of the league - congratulations to Derek, Tanya and the team; long may it continue.

I just hope that the individual involved has the decency to apologise for what has happened.

Bad Tackle??

The referee's comments were ' they both went in as bad a each other so will both get the same' however, he said he wasnt going to send the godolphin player off while he was on the floor, so will be interesting to see if the red card for Dave Rabone actually goes through like perranporths player. Referee blew the whistle for full time while they were waiting for an ambulance so only the 1 red card was shown. Good match ruined by a referee who should of got a grip of the game early on. I never saw the tackle at the end so cant comment on it, just going by the referees words. Wish Dave a speedy recovery!!

Would like to wish Dave all the best in his recovery, and thankfully it wasn't a break.

Nobody wants to see anyone injured, however from where I was standing it looked as though both players went in with the intention going over the ball.... A view shared by the Ref who said he was going to send both players off.

If you live by the sword.....

Interesting point of view; it leaves me intrigued by some of the comments that the Perranporth players couldn't condone the actions of the player involved and that there is no room for bad losers who throw their weight around. I'm sure Perranporth were gutted to concede a late goal and can understand how frustrating it is not to be able to get the ball back; it won't be the first or last time this happens. Although I wasn't there to see it myself, I'm a bit puzzled to how one individual can end up with an injury just below the knee when going 'over the ball'; I recognise that there will be a number of thoughts and opinions.

Whether a player is on the deck or not, surely a referee takes responsibility to hand out whatever sanction he sees as appropriate whether there is an injury or not? I'm sure some of our referees could help us with this one, I've seen players carded whilst being carried off on a stretcher.

Most importantly, David will make a recovery (hopefully a quick one), another great win and a further three points. Good luck to the G on Saturday.

Elburton Villa 0-2 Torpoint Athletic

A great result at Haye Road last night for the Gold & Black Army, against a battling Villa side who are fighting relegation. The goals for Torpoint came from Liam Thornton in the 67th minute and Adam Carter in the 86th minute. There was a crowd there of 67, and there was about 20 from Torpoint, the playing surface was very good. The only disappointing thing for me was the programme, it was only 2 pages, A5 doubled sided, black and white.

Great news to hear that Dave's injury is not as bad as we had all feared. Well done to our physio's kim and Ollie who looked after Dave brilliantly, also thanks to the Perranporth phsio, and the skipper, and the other players who expressed their concerns.

Those of us at Mount Wise for the Combo match v St Day last night were saddened to hear of Rafa's broken leg. Thankfully it appears from the above postings that it is not as bad as first feared. I'd also like to say well done to the 'G' who now top the table, although you won't be surprised to hear, that we will be trying to dislodge you in the next few weeks.

As programme editor please accept my apologies for the 'team sheet' I produced for supporters last night. Unfortunately this was the first home game this season I haven't been able to provide a full programme but thought best to at least have something rather than nothing! If you had a black and white one then you may have noticed my black ink was running out. Those who picked up the ones in red & blue writing wouldn't have!

I agree the playing surface is looking superb for this time of season with more improvements to the ground to come! :clapper:

Camelford 0-4 callington.

Match abandoned with 8 minutes to play due to light.

Referee has somehow decided only 66 minutes were played! Although common sense would tell you if you leave the field at 8:10 from a half 6 ko that you have certainly played longer than this

Being a referee myself I am all for sticking by your referees decisions however hopefully the board will use some common sense on this or he will admit his error!
