In Reading Massey's Mutterings for probably the first time ever because i was asked to (because he was in it), i have to agree on the best keeper around currently statement made by Mr Massey. Paul Hider or Spider Pig as he is known has been in excellent form all season for the Ashes and has without doubt matured into an all round top experienced keeper hence why we were so keen to lure him away from his love of the Clarets at the begining of the season. Definately one of the best signings made by Saltash. I have to agree with maturing i played with Hides when he was 17 / 18 at Launceston for a couple of seasons and he was without doubt a real talent but as all good keepers needed games and to gain experience and Steves summary is spot on he has grown with age and dominates his area and his kicking is top notch. Finally totally agree probably the nicest most genuine bloke you will ever meet. 5 games to go Hides looking for 5 clean sheets.
