Question for a Falmouth Town buff.

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Does anyone remember a player called Fred Ingrams (I think) who played a few games for Town in the '70s? I think he went on to play for Exeter City, albeit not for long.

Cheers.

Fred Ingham -Yes I can remember him

He played at Falmouth 1976-77 26 Appearances scoring 9 goals.

According to notes from my little Red book-

Scored the only goal in the Cornwall Senior Cup Final 1976-77

1-0 v Liskeard Athletic at Poltair Park.

Signed from Dawlish Town and his previous clubs were Manchester United Apprentice-Football league for Stockport County and Southern League for Burton Albion.

Released back to Dawlish at end of season

In the mould of Neil Phillips who also comes from Stockport 'way'

Thanks Mike. Been lurking and I thought you might know the details of his Town days. I have a vague recollection of him getting a game for Exeter City after his Town 'career', but my memory being what it is, I can't be sure.

The reason I mention that is that I was discussing that team when the fact that three players went on to play in The Football League came up. I thought it might be four players who appeared in a Town XI and then later played in the league.
