Sir Alex
£10 is a lot of money to ask for a club that has very few supporters. Are You trying to finance your whole season in one games gate receipts? is this the kindof money you charge the normal supporters who support you all season when you play against tkid likes of witheridge???? boosh12
£10 to watch a friendly, really?
Tony
You can get 3 bottles of wine for a tenner in Asda Seriously, think that's a bit steep in the current climate for a friendly - perhaps free (or nominal) entry for kids would have been a good move...after all they're the future supporters and Bodmin could do with a few given their average attendances and the handful that turned out to support them at the Senior Cup final!! Karen & Mark
Well I have been told by several people that to play QPR it will cost you £2500 for the privilege ? If that is the truth then they can take a long run and jump ( perhaps someone could spread some light on this ? ) What ever happened to supporting grass roots football ? jefferson hog
Tavy charged 15 pound to watch from the stand it was cheaper to watch them at argyle disgrace really
pastyman
In the current ecomomic climate, £10 is too much. We all have the freedom to choose whether to attend the match or not, so our choice. Given the current finance available to QPR, do they really have to be funded? Wish BoDmin Town well tonite and hope they do well financially. I for one, will not be going. quiksilver
I have been told by a club secretary who approached QPR for a friendly they needed to pay £3000 for the privilege of playing a QPR 1st XI . so the club opted to play QPR youth instead! Mike Odgers
Half Time 0-4 One QPR supporter reporting back to Loftus Road (on the forum) described it as a Park pitch with long grass and very bumpy. He was very surprised to see Kevin Miller in the Bodmin goal Full time 0-
Nemesis
£10 seems fair enough to watch a Premier side to me. Try going to Truro on Sat and watch QPR Ressies, it is also £10 but you are watching City too ! I don't see the problem in paying a big side to play at your ground, especially if you are going to make £10-20k profit in one night. Well done to Tavistock & Bodmin for raising the bar. Dave Deacon
One of the gate attendees suggested it was in the region of 1,000. Mind you there were quite a few under 16s and I think the price for them was around £
100%cornish
Yes it was £10 to see qpr play but it was that to see truro vs yeovil which was dear so £10 to watch a preniership club was good.It was a very good game with Kevin Miller making some outsanding saves ,qpr did not play any of there new signings bootroyd or dyer, but they still gave a exhibition of fine football. The players where a credit to qpr and so was Neil Warnock who must of posed for 100s of photos after the match.I think this will be the last time Neil brings a team to cornwall i think qpr will struggle and he will be sacked by xmas and retire down here to cornwall .Thanks Neil for bringing your team down to sunny cornwall. Spot on nemesis!Even if QPR did demand 2-3000 quid(which i doubt)bodmin are on a good wicket!10 quid is a bargain compared to the cheapest ticket(40 quid) at loftus rd on opening day v Bolton!!! I agree that £10 is reasonable for a game like this; I'd pay it if it were my club. I doubt you'd get anywhere near a £10k profit though.
sniffer
I can tell you that QPR were charging nearer £5000 to play their 1st team and £2500 to play their Ressies dont know about their Youth. So fair play to those teams who took the financial risk to play them, at least their trying to bring some good teams to play in a football backwater like Devon & Cornwall, i for one would like to see more bigger teams coming down here to play pre season games. Nanks
Ive also beenn told that it cost Bodmin £5000 to play QPR. Dont know about the reserves. The youth team cost.........nothing!
Eric Fish
Does it matter how much it costs to see a Premier club in the sticks (as somebody says) £10 is very cheap for a night's entertainment. Most of the comments on here are from supporters of other clibs who are "pig sick" that there club didn't make the effort to contact QPR to arrange a game. I thought Bodmin Town played very well, I thouoghtly enjoyed the game. Lets hope that QPR continue to support the south west football. I'm sure the 2000+ supporters will be happy

MOUNTAINEER
One of the owners of Queen's Park Rangers (40%), Lakshmi Mittal is the WEALTHIEST man in WORLD Football, his wealth of US $28.7 Billion is two and a half times that of Roman Abramovich (US $11.2 Billion). No money for Warnock to buy success. A pre season on the cheap in the West Country. Bernie Ecclestone has (60%)of QPR and is worth (US $ 2.07 Billion). Daft money at the top end of football but they couldn't care a monkeys about Grass Roots. In the World money stakes, Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also rans. QPR play in a Dolls House even compared to the smallest of the 4 clubs stadiums you mention (Stamford Bridge), Loftus Road is about the same size as the Barca training ground. Having money does not make you a big or well supported club. Of course when you scale the subject down, no one is allowed to mention how wealthy the owner of Truro is. BTW they charged the same as Bodmin did, but for a far inferior QPR side at Treyew Rd.

Just so you know,mr mittal resigned from the board at QPR recently after disagreeing with briatore and bernie about the pricing of season tickets,he is still a big share holder though and most rangers fans want him to buy out the F1 muppets who dont seem to have the club at heart.Mittal last season was a regular at games socialising with the real fans regularly where as bernie watches the just the first half of games then leaves to "beat the traffic"! MOUNTAINEER
Thanks for that Rob. My QPR interest was during the White City later the Rodney Marsh era. Small club great supporters, I would like to see them do well.
