a very frustrating game for a "ashes" supporter. In the first half, "the ashes" could have scored a "hatfull", but the St Blazey keeper, some poor finishing and bad luck meant that the scoreline remained at 0-0.

In the second half, "the ashes" were awarded a penalty, which unfortunately, Danny Zalick missed.

After Wednesdays win at Elburton Villa, this defeat was a major disappointment.

The game finished 1-0 to St Blazey after a wondergoal from Ollie Gibson.

Pastyman.....what about the two one on ones that Spider in goal saved for you and the other couple good saves he made. It was a cracking first half and a number of chances were wasted. A real cup tie. Olly Gibson then scored a brilliant goal to put St Blazey one up. St Blazey battled right to the end and blocked everything. Saltash were given a soft penalty which was very harsh. Up stepped Danny Zalick and dragged so wide I think it went for a throw in!! In the end justice done. Saltash to me looked so slow in getting forward when time was running out. Maybe took the tie as a walkover and got found out. You really have to hand it to Bobby and the lads. Superb. The bad news was the injury to Adam Bance who hurt his back. Could be a long term problem, hopefully not.

To the stay away fans who will turn up as soon as a big game comes around.....get out and enjoy some local football. Your missing out on watching a young side, playing for the enjoyment of playing football and playing some really good football. Cant understand how the stay aways can enjoy the good times if you dont follow the not so good times. :blink:
