Saltash United could well prove a few people wrong this season.

Danny Zalick and Darren Hicks has certainly improved the squad this season and the whole team seem to be enjoying it more. Gone is Sam wright who seem to "hug" the ball when he had it and make thing more complicated that they should have been.

It is still early days, but I have certainly been impressed and enjoyed the encounters this season.

St.Blazey in relegation zone !!!

Going to be a long season Tony. Been a long time since St Blazey kicked around in the relegation zone, 1996 season and 17th position to be exact.

Bumped into a couple of stalwart supporters yesterday who have continued to support home and away through thick and thin for over 20 years but now considering alternatives on a Saturday as so dismayed with their club.

How fortunes can change so quick. So disappointing.

St Austell came within 5 minutes of folding 4 years ago, lets hope that someone on the St Blazey committee has the forsight to turn things around just like the noisy neighbours up the road did.

Back to basics Blazey and you will be fine...

Might be worth listening to some of the committee members at St Austell and Newquay who are turning their respected clubs round.

My old boss has supported Blazey home and away for many years and (despite that!!) I have great respect for him. Not seen him this season but I expect he's pretty disillusioned as I knew he was towards then end of last season.

You're right, there's a long way to go and I'd be surprised if Blazey are still at the bottom come next May but once things start going wrong and confidence goes on the pitch, and support goes off it, then a downward spiral can be difficult to turn around - look at the sorry position Wadebridge find themselves in.

Heads up guys torpoints been at the bottom this season too due to change of manager and most of the players moving on.true supporters will standby their club through thick and thin even relegation you should standby your club.we got new manager new players and rising team spirit again. It's bad enough players jumping ship let alone supporters too.

Stalwart supporters don't jump ship, though they may get peed off by the continuous sniping by a few stirrers who have jumped on a bandwagon. St Blazey's record would compare favourably with most in Cornwall, especially their near neighbours who seem to forget their only claim to recent fame is going broke and changing their name.

Not a role model anyone should follow.

Why don't the knockers leave St Blazey to sort out its temporary set-back and maybe the stalwart supporters could offer their help in the meantime.

Don't think St.Austell need any lectures about stalwart supporters after the many years of 'thin' we had to endure whilst Blazey were regularly winning trophies....oh, and by the way, the Football Club did not 'go broke' the Social Club did and that was a separate legal entity run (into the ground!) by separate people.

Might be a good point to remind people that we finished above Snozzle last season and given St Austell's less than impressive start to the season, I'm hoping, and expecting us to do the same again.

Unlike our neighbours up the road, we intend to spend a few days in the relegation zone, not a decade.

Nothing quite like winding up Blazey supporters to relieve the boredom of a day at work!

Finished above us and then lacked ambition to keep Glynn and Phil and a great young squad together, THAT WOULD OF BEEN CHALLENGING AGAIN THIS SEASON!!!!

Stop dwelling on what has happened in the past, you were a great side and were always the club that St Austell and a few others wanted to emulate.. BUT!!! You have all got to wake up and realise that as of NOW!! St Blazey as a football club is in serious danger of slipping from the forefront of South West football. Just hope that you dont you dont dissapear altogether!!

As for poor starts this season we have lost 3 out of 8 and Blazey have lost 6 out of 7 and out of the vase and fa cup, I dont see an argument there.
