A bit disappointed with "the ashes" performance tonight, as they were second best to Bodmin.

No doubt the departure of Darren Hicks to Falmouth Town was a disruption to "the ashes" game plan and didn't help tonight.

Take nothing away from Bodmin Town, they looked strong tonite and will certainly be up there with Buckland Athlectic and the end of the season.

Once again, another poor performance from the officials, some very poor decisions.

Surely not, he's only been with the Ashes a handful of weeks!

And how many times have you seen "the ashes" play this season Mr Deacon?

To lose Darren Hicks just before a big game against Bodmin would obviously have an effect.

League has got the look of a two horse race about it . Little to choose between Bodmin and Buckland . Little bit of a hollow title for both though if they won't give promotion a go , but that is a subject for another post which will no doubt stir up one or two emotions .

I always feel that early October is when the league really begins though . The weather is getting colder and wetter , the new signings made in the summer have bedded down ( or thought better of it and moved on ) , we are into the Vase and Cups which will stretch resources at some clubs with smaller squads and the early season rush of momentum at some of the lesser clubs will have started to fade .

Pastyman - I've watched Saltash twice this season - against Argyle and Falmouth. Two decent results and both without Darren Hicks.

In reality the fact the player was linked with signing a couple of weeks earlier and then not, but that it's now happened, probably unsettled things earlier than just before yesterday's game.

Saltash yet again look to be frustrating their supporters, what would you say Pastyman, you obviously watch them more than me.
