pastyman
SALTASH UNITED 1 LAUNCESTON 4 Not a "good day at the office" for Saltash United today. Unfortunately, "the ashes" team were missing the likes of Dave Smith, Stuart Clark, Gavin Coulton and one of the Cusack brothers. The Referee was very poor today and in all honest, out of his depth. Taking nothing away from Launceston, they were the better team and deserved the victory.
L.Ricks 10
St Dennis 2-1 Truro Reserves Saints goals: Carl rickard (2) Truro goal: Andy bowker (pen) Very good game over shadowed by a terrible injury to young Jason Roberts, ambulance stretched him of with a dislocated knee cap, the game was very well refed, Feel we deserved the 3 points and dominated most of the game. Truro obviously a very good and well organised side. Best wish to Jason from all the lads at St Dennis football club, hope he has a speedy recovery

A text from a fellow supporter: "We were awful today. We played some good stuff at home to Buckland". Today was as bad as any match we've seen. 35 quid on fuel today. Not happy." The travelling supporters continue to be faithful in spite of defeat after defeat. How long they will continue to do so at £1.40+ per litre remains to be seen. r2000
I agree with the above post that Launceston just keep winning and piling the pressure on, i expected Launceston to drop points today at Saltash but they again come away with a convincing win, i still think Bodmin should win the league but any team with aspirations of lifting the title can not afford to drop points, i think its going to be a nail biting last few games, arguably the best season for many a year, can Bodmin, Buckland, Falmouth keep on picking up the three necessary points to get promotion and or win the league? Pingu
So if throwing money at the desperate situation St Blazey find themselves in isn't enough, what is Dan & Paul? I feel for you as die hard supporters, but what is it going to take to sort out the current mess? From what I see, even if you manage to survive and play at Prem level next season, what is possibly going to make watching your beloved Blazey any easier or enjoyable? Other than a miracle or a sugar daddy arriving on the scene, I see the same Brian Brokenshires & Co preventing a club with such pride and history from bouncing back. Bleak and frustrating appears to be the future for all involved at St Blazey. Unless of course some persons in power are prepared to move over and away finally. SteveM
Our side matched the Withy pitch today!! Rubbish. We got exactly what we desearved.........nothing!! After following Argyle to Macclesfield and Wimbledon in the past few days, neither journey was a killer like going to Witheridge!! Depressing!!!!!!!!!!! We started the match brightly but after the first 5-10 minutes Witheridge got to grips with the game and St Blazey descended into mediocrity. The pitch was in a poor state with both teams slipping about which didn't help matters but both teams had to deal with it and Witheridge coped much better. As the match went on the St Blazey faithful went from a state of hopeful optimism, past slight concern, through moderate frustration, skirted with total disbelief and ended up in gales of uncontrollable laughter at the performance today. This was a must win game for St Blazey but I don't think anyone told that to the squad. We were saying on the way up that the run in isn't so bad for us but to be honest after that performance I really can't see who we're going to get points from. Ivybridge home and away to come in April. If we don't take 4 points or more from them I think we could be in massive trouble if the bottom two both go down. Mike Odgers
The best route to survival is to keep your noses in front of The Royal Marines and support Buckland to get the second spot league position . Buckland promoted to the Western League -No Devon club coming down which leaves only one club to be relegated from the SWPL Premier to the Div 1 (E/W)
hoppit
Camelford 2 0 Bovey Tracey. Another good performance from Camels against a useful Bovey side. Goals from Ryan Pooley and Mark Gusterson. 44 points at this stage of the season exceeds all expectations. Tough run in to come but with Camels work ethic always a chance of picking up points against any team.

Well I wasn't at the match myself yesterday but after reading comments about the pitch on here I informed our chairman of them who is very disappointed as he himself was at the ground yesterday morning at 7am working on the pitch to make sure the game went ahead after a full night of rain on Friday. The referee obviously had no problem with the pitch else he would never of played the match. Not going to get dragged into an argument on here about it but as I remember the Blazey pitch wasn't in the best condition when we visited back in November but like myself from yesterday's match Paul you can't comment on that as you weren't there. Clubs do their very best to get games on and to then read comments like this is as I have already said is very disappointing to all the people not only at our club but all clubs at this level who give up their own time to get these games on. Paul
I wasnt knocking the effort that people put in to see the game is played but the fact is the pitch is all over the place. No fork and spade will sort that out. Same at St Blazey, the pitch was looking pretty bad but since then theyve spent money on it, had tractors in and spiked it and leveled it and its looking much better. We finallly won a game on it so its made a difference!!! Nice little program at Withy though!! :c:

Paul
No worries NDD. Nice to have a decent cover on the program. Just enough in it. Cant remember if you had it in this program without finding it but always good to read the Blazey managers comments in each program. Something theve done for every match for the 15 or so years ive been watching them who ever the manager has been. Theres been some good programs around this season.
