The Peninsula 'Match of the Day' sees Falmouth looking to hold off visiting Parkway for the 3rd. league spot.

The visitors are 3 points adift with a game in hand and have a very good record at Bickland Park -losing only 5 games from 15 previous visits

Plymouth Parkway will be confident after a recent 3-0 victory over Town at Bolitho Park.

From ther match day programme archives-

One of the first visitors to the newly opened Social Club in Webber Street in the Summer of 1955 was the then current England International Centre Forward- Nat Lofthouse and his wife, who were on hoiday in the area.l

Looking forward to this one tomorrow Mike .Bickland Park always feels like a proper football ground to me with plenty of history about it .

When you came to us it was a case of "everything that could go right, did go right" for Parkway and "everything that could go wrong ,did go wrong for Falmouth."

Being honest , we travel more in hope than expectation ( I'm a bit of a football pessimist to be honest) , but we're a match for anybody when our attitude and workrate is spot on , which has been more often than not in the past couple of months . There were times during the game at Bolitho on Monday when we had Buckland hanging on .

Think third is a bit beyond us in reality , especially when you look at how tough our run in is . Our minimum expectation is finish in the top six and preserve our Peninsula League record of never finishing lower than this .

Yes -Parkway will do well to keep their 100% top 6 record in place having to play all the 5 teams above them.

With only 3 points separating 4 clubs for that 3rd spot it will make the season interesting to the end now that Bodmin & Buckland have virtually claimed the top two positions.
