stroz
It is extremely sad news to hear that jack prowse has passed away. A fantastic groundsman and a fantastic man. He will be missed greatly at porthleven and I'm sure in by everyone who crossed his path. RIP jack

Tommy Matthews
More bad news! I worked with Jack many years ago at Packet Newspapers and have seen him regularly of late at Porthleven at matches and at the club when I pop in to see my Dad and his mates. Worked hard for the club and for football. I knew he was very poorly and the last time I saw him he watched the game from his car. He won an FA Groundsman of the Year award for the pitch he prepared at Wendron where he lived. Another of the good guys lost from the game! tyringham ghost
I too would like to pass on my condolences to Jack's family on their very sad loss. I visited Jack on friday and although he knew he didnt have long he still had a smile on his face and was as jovial as ever. As everyone else has already stated he will be a big loss to Cornish Soccer. R.I.P. Jack from all at Porthleven Football Club as well as the many friends around the county who have had the pleasure of your company over the years.
