Karen & Mark
Been told tonight that Dartmouth FC may be withdrawing from the SWPL ? Would be a massive blow to South Devon Football and the SWPL if its true ?

TimmyRaa
Does that mean we will be short of a team again, or are they gonna promote another eg Stoke Gabriel
mad ferret
I think they should promote Atlantic.....
pro
I heard about this rumour, how many teams dropped out since the start? Do we go back to Devon League and Cornwall League? Surely this makes sense?
Crusty
But then there are teams that have blossomed with this structure. It's worth loosing a couple if there are more teams progressing

Dave Deacon
Direct from @DartmouthAFC: Hi, We can confirm that a decision has been made that DAFC won't be competing in the SWPL.
Mike Odgers
Dartmouth one of the better trips-having lunch down on the waterfront. That leaves 36 League games From Falmouth's point of view NO F A Cup/Vase -just hope we keep away from Bodmin in the domestic cups. Last season Falmouth played 50 League & Cup-Their highest season was 1975-76 when they played 62 competitive games. Bring back the Pratten Cup lol
motherwontletmegoargyle
Maybe CCFA could make the charity cup bigger (thats the tournement not the actual trophy) and invite enough teams for an extra round
Goldeneye
We need less games of better QUALITY! With less games players should be able to spend more time on improving their skill levels (sadly lacking at the moment). That's if they can be bothered! THE BALD ONE
I think they should promote Atlantic..... Ferret - that was your adopted team last season , who you going to follow now ?
The Villains
Better now than half way through the season. Sad really.
Soccer Follower
If Dartmouth have a reserve team, which league do they play in? South Devon or Devon & Exeter?

Braidie_Cole
For the sake of the league , hopefully stoke will win 1 east as I believe they are the only team willing to take promotion
NORTH DEVON DWELLER
For the sake of the league , hopefully stoke will win 1 east as I believe they are the only team willing to take promotion Not true Braidie Cole. Crediton Utd would take promotion if they finished in a position to do so. But I see your point we definitely need another Eastern side to make the jump next season. It's a sorry situation as there are only 4 sides (including ourselves) who joined from the Devon County League left in the Premier Division now. I know we have gained Bovey & Liverton over the last couple of years and Parkway & Tavistock are in Devon although they joined from the SWL. skippy
If the FA and Western League want the top SWP side to take promotion to step 5, then they should be consistent and require any Devon based step 6 team (or relegated team from Western Premier) to play in the SWP. This being the case Elmore should transfer immediately.
