Could Penzance have set two records?

Recommended Posts

They have one for certain, even if its one they will prefer to forget fairly quickly!

The 11-0 scoreline at Blaise Park yesterday, as far as I can tell, is a new "Highest scoreline" for the Premier Division *.

The other possible record is with Penzance playing John Matthews, is he the oldest registered player to have appeared in the League? I have to say though that at 56/57 (perhaps someone can confirm the exact age) he did a good job.

* Highest result throughout the League from all 3 Divisions : Stoke Gabriel 13-0 Ottery St Mary (5th Sept 2009)
