bushy12
Just heard that due to the state of the pitch, and the severe weather warning St.Austell - Ivybridge has already been called OFF. Lets hope the pitch recovers in time for Boxing Day!
DanBlazey
This is not yet confirmed. Pitch being looked at lunchtime today (SWPL forum)

Tony
Forecast diabolical from later today right through tomorrow so I'll wager a few quid that you're right Bushy....even if a bit premature! Wise move to cancel early though given the time of year and of course Ivybridge had a wasted journey to Poltair earlier in the season when fog caused a last gasp abandonment. Roll on Saturday
Think it would make sense to call off games and be done with it - weather warnings are in place and there has been no real let up with rain so hopefully common sense should prevail - so sad to see stereotypical views from last post. FIGURE OF 8
Totally agree guys!! Surely call off whole program of matches now instead of waiting for the usual 11:00 am inspection and phone call. I am out on works bash tonight and I know 90% of the players are out on theirs!! As you can imagine we are not looking forward to round trip between Plymouth and Porthleven on a minibus together!! So come on guys call it off and let us get the knees up underway. . . Martin McHugh
I reckon the game at Porthlevan will now definately be on!! MQx
quiksilver
Call games off now for whole weekend. The weather is going to worsen and not going to dry up suddenly on Saturday morning. Save players and fans hanging around until midday only to find out games off anyway. Let people enjoy a day and plan some family time. There is plenty of football over the festive period to keep people going without tomorrow's games
The Windmill On The Shirt
Newquay v Torpoint - I have been advised that a pitch inspection is at 9am on Saturday morning!
Cornish-Ref
Forgetting tomorrow, I don't see any football matches taking place either on Boxing Day or Saturday 29th......... The forecast is for rain most days over the holiday period...... Role on the 5th January..... :Santa:

quiksilver
From the swpleage website All premier league games are off No surprise as even if pitches were ok lots of road closures in Plymouth, trulefoot roundabout flooded and most trains out of action so some players/official/fans would struggle to get to the games anyway. Merry christmas

The Python
St Austell v Blazey and Porthleven v Helston both OFF already. Helston offered to host this fixture at Helston (weather permitting) but Porthleven declined the offer for some reason, they should be made to play the game as we all want games to be played if possible.
