Tavistock v Witheridge OFF

Witheridge have not played since December 8th.

The North Devon League has approved that its season will be extended to May 31st.due to this inclement weather.

Will the Peninsula League be considering this option

Both Falmouth Town and AFC St.Austell have no games today there must be a good reason why they couldn't fit it in.

It has been sdcheduled for this coming Tuesday (Dark/Cold/Wet lol) evening

Parkway 2 Torpoint 2.

Very scrappy game on a difficult pitch that cut up badly. Ryan Richards double from the wing position earned Parkway a point. I am worried that if Ryan gets injured or has a baron spell where the goals will come from. Looking at the new lad Coombes it will not be from him. ( only his first game so perhaps I need to give him the benefit of the doubt ). Sam Cooper put in another workhorse performance and was still getting moaned at by the bench ? His work rate was double the new lads. Keep going Sam .

Much abuse from the away dugout today , which the ref and ref's assistant just let go ?

Overall , a draw was a fair result.

Maybe the ref and ref assisstant were just confused at the parkway game as the abuse normally comes from the home dugout. Anyway, a great performance from Torpoint who should have won. Parkway were lucky to get a point yesterday
I do not agree with any dugout making coments as yesterday. I do not think Torpoint should have won yesterday and think the draw was a fair reflection of the game. However , you would not have thought there was such a gap in the league positions.

Good effort Torpoint.

Vospers Oak Villa 1 - 2 Wadebridge Town

Big 3 points for us but most impressive was the performance today. We tried to play football on A heavy pitch which hasn't seen a roller for a long time and had most of the possession in the first half but it was Vospers who took the lead halfway through with a long ball through the middle well converted, soft goal to concede. Managed to get a goal back just before half time.

Second half and a change of style to the game. We showed a lot of steel (doubted by many this season) and scrapped away to create chances, winning the big tackles. Dan Jennings scored the winner with 15 to go beating the offside trap (which was controversial all game) to fire home.

Hate to say I told u so but before the parkway/Bodmin game was cancelled last month or whenever it was, I did say that Bodmin would win the league convincingly. Parkway have improved but for me don't have the right guidance, Ryan Richards is far an away there Top goal scorer & an out & out front man. But yet rather then play him up front they sign someone new, push Ryan wide & drop someone that's easy to drop.

Yesterdays game highlighted how you have Bodmin at the top of this league ,a block of clubs with little between them after that and the bottom two being well adrift . Call it competitive , or lack of overall quality . It's your choice .

We missed John Heveran and Dan Griffiths badly yesterday ,them being respectively our defensive leader and the most creative player . Not sure when either will return, John Heveran being out long term could explain why we tried to get Gavin Coulton .

Scratchy, nervous and shot shy performance yesterday from Parkway against a Torpoint side that worked very hard and always looked like they could get something from the game .Two of their Parkway old boys , Paul Baker and Jimmy Alexander, were regular thorns in our side .

The worry is that it is our home record that could cost us a top two finish . We have now dropped points at home to Saltash,St Austell,Blazey, Liverton and Torpoint as opposed to taking 24 points from a possible 27 away from Bolitho Park .

As The Bald One has pointed out , we are very reliant on Ryan Richards for goals as well ( he has scored 20 of our 50,have to say as well that ,for a player who has been portrayed on here as a moaner,he worked tirelessly for the team in a left side of midfield role) . Lewis Coombes will hopefully improve on his debut today , but we really need others to start getting on the scoresheet .No player other than Richards or Dan Griffiths has bagged a goal since the 30th November .

can see parkway falling well off the pace in the next month or so .the team is nowhere near big enough or good enough to catch bodmin .i wonder why they havent tried to get andy sargent back even if he is not avaible for some games . deff sort out the goals issue. not sure the players parkway have lost have been replaced with anything better
