best
Not a good day for Torpoint, we will leave it as that!!
The Observer
What wasn't good about it? They had a good gate,& A very good workout, granted the result is not what they would of liked but Hats off to a very very Fit & Sharp Argyle Youth team. Wouldn't read to much into that, it's very early days.
bearded man
Torpoint were poor to be fair. Didn't look like a good outfit at all.
quiksilver
It's only preseason, probably the first friendly for a torpoint team with a lot of new faces playing a professional football clubs youth team. Can't read too much into it, would have been good for fitness and given the manager some positives and areas they need to focus on. That's what preseason is all about
iamfootie
Torpoint had a very bad game, u have to think elburton only lost 3-0 to the 1st team.

PUGWASH
When you say Plymouth Youth , does that mean the U18's side ? If so that is not a good result ! However . this was a friendly.

PUGWASH
Ouch !!!!!!!!!!!!! turned over by a bunch of kids. I am sure someone on this forum said that Torpoint will be the darkhorse to watch out for.
Milky
Very hard night for torpoint against a good young fit argyle side , can't look into one friendly game and say torpoint are a poor side and compare there result with elburton villa but then again most of you are solid on here . Torpoint top 6 finish in my opinion
PUGWASH
So why are the Torpoint lads not fit ?
The Windmill On The Shirt
The reason Arygle beat us 5-0, they are professonals and the play football everyday. The Torpoint lads have full time jobs & can't committe to every minute of the day playing football like argyle players. The Torpoint lads train hard twice a week and keep up their personal fitness. Plus don't think torpoint played with a striker as looking at the team sheet don't think any of the lads on it are centre forwards
