doubleteamer
Mousehole 2 St. Day 0 The score line much closer than the game truth be told. A great game to watch with mousehole having most of the possession & playing some lovely free flowing football throughout. St. Day started strongly, literally strongly. A few tackles during the first half especially could well have earned a red card had it been a league match. But that a side they stood up to the test & put mousehole under a lot of pressure. Pressure that didn't really turn into anything. & apart from a few wayward free kicks in the first 15 mins, didn't trouble the mousehole keeper at all. Mousehole found a lot of join down the right hand side, creating a hat full of chances, hitting the post & forcing the keeper to save. They were very unlucky not to have a penalty with a blatant handball by st. Day's full back. As the first half came to a close, temperatures were boiling as the ref threatened to abandon the game there & then. After the break mousehole grew into the game much more. Gaining success both out wide & through the middle. Some tight one touch passing freed a striker to lay the ball back for a shot, only to be brought down for a penalty. Which was put a away well. Mousehole created many more chances after this without much reply from st. Day, they struck again when a winger was played in, beat a defender & finished emphatically. More chances were created but were not finished. On another day the score line could've quite easily 6 or 7. I've no idea of line ups or scorers sorry.
