Rubber Duck
Boscastle 2 Premier Sixes 6 (Probert x 4, Harvey, Mitchell) Poor first half from Sixes and lucky to go in at the break 3-2 up. Boscastle were by far the more hungrier of the 2 sides. Second half Sixes were excellent, work rate and commitment and that bit of quality saw us easy winners in the end. Good lick to Boscastle for the season.

Akos Bubacksy
Calstock 0 - 3 north petherwin Very close for most of the game with 2 goals coming in the last 10 mins. North petherwin's first goal was a great individual goal although calstock will be disappointed with the defending. The other 2 were mistakes by calstock. On a sour note, there was money taken from the changing room (which obviously did not get locked after half time) which is disappointing for Calstock. It will be reported and Calstock made a financial gesture to the player involved. Lessons have been learned and security will be stepped up in the future. Calstock formally apologise for not checking the changing room was locked after h/t. But back to football, the game was played in good spirits by both sides and I must say the north petherwin manager is a lovely bloke and enjoyed the banter on the sideline. They will be up there this season with 3 or 4 very good players.

danhaggett7
St.Breward 0-6 AFC Bodmin A comfortable away win for Bodmin with 3 goals in each half. Bodmin chose to shoot uphill in the 1st half and raced into a 3 goal lead with goals from Mike Horne, Fraser Robinson and Andy Seymour. St Breward did create a couple half chances but nothing to really threaten Bodmin keeper Dan Hollyoak. The second half was much of the same with Bodmin scoring twice more early on through Jonny Summerfield and a superb Jason Willis goal. The game fizzled out after this but Bodmin did manage to find a 6th and final goal when Skipper Matt Hoopers fine cross was headed home by Robinson for his second of the game. Good luck to St.Breward for the rest of the season and I have to say that the playing surface was excellent today so well done to the groundsman. white
Welcome Inn 7 - Delabole 0 The 1st goal coming in 27 seconds by player manager Neil White, the only other goal of the half from Adrian White who headed it just before the goalie could reach it. The 2nd half being more productive with goals coming from Jake Blythe, Karl Orchard a screamer and a Hat Trick for new striker Ross Willcocks who has slotted in the team effortlessly. A clean sheet and a great result from the whole team.

Premier Sixes
Full time and Duchy site updates to follow later.......... JJ JONES DUCHY FOOTBALL LEAGUE Lamerton had to come from behind to secure a point from their Premier Division clash with St.Newlyn East. Ben Phillips put the visitor’s ahead after thirty-two minutes following a corner and Mick Thompson added a second five minutes before half-time. Lamerton received a lifeline with a Simon Breyley goal just before the break and claimed their equaliser from Simon Kelly in the 78th minute. Both sides were reduced to ten men as an entertaining game ended at two all. Biscovey and Torpoint Athletic featured in a closely fought affair with the visitors getting the only goal of the game midway through the second half following some sloppy marking after a set piece. A very young St.Dominick side made a fine opening in Division One beating a much more experienced Edgcumbe team 3-2. Sixteen-year-old Kian Armitage scored two of the goals. His first gave the hosts the lead after receiving a good through ball. Edgcumbe equalised from a rebounded effort from Jay Boyle, but they then conceded a penalty. Tom Lowden saw his spot kick saved, but reacted quickest to put in the rebound. Edgcumbe played their part in the game and a good team move was rewarded with Jake Foster getting their second equaliser. Saints were not to be denied though and Sam Ticehurst released Armitage to round the keeper for his second and winning goal. Lostwithiel suffered their first setback with a 3-2 defeat at Godolphin Atlantic. Although weakened through unavailable players Lostwithiel were able to bring in St.Austell manager Dan Nancarrow who scored one of their goals. Graham Rule scored their other, but the star man on the day was the host’s Dan Cheadle who scored a hat trick. North Petherwin won 3-0 at Calstock in a game marred by a thief who stole valuables from the visitors changing room during the second half. Much praise must go to the home club who made a collection and donated £50 to the Petherwin players. The game was much closer than the score line suggests with two of the goals coming in the last ten minutes, Jim Werren, Shane Hooper and Joe Reeves were the visiting marksmen. Grampound were good value for a 3-1 half-time lead playing with the wind at St.Dennis. In the second half the hosts had the elements with them and pressed forward but only reduced the deficit from the penalty spot with ten minutes left as Grampound held on for a 3-2 win in a tense finish. The visitor’s goals came from Hayden Boxall, Lee Budge and Bruce Campbell. Looe Town started their season with a local derby at home to Polperro and celebrated with a 4-1 success. There was a brace apiece from Matt Barton and Chris Sykes with Dan Sharp getting the visitors consolation. Foxhole made it three wins from three games as they reiterated their early season favourites tag in Division Two. They went to Gunnislake and won 4-1 with Shane Kibell adding another hat trick to go to eight goals for the season. Jamie Robinson added the other Foxhole goal with Kieren Jasper replying. St.Minver and Sticker fought out a tight game with Ben Beesley giving the hosts the points with the only goal around the 65th minute. With their regular keeper tied up with cricket, Boscastle were always likely to concede goals at home to Premier Sixes and they couldn’t handle Martyn Probert who scored four goals in the visitors 6-2 win. Craig Harvey and Josh Mitchell were the other Sixes scorer’s with Sam Capstick and Jon Bosley scoring for Boscastle. St.Breward fell to a third loss beaten 6-0 at home by AFC Bodmin. Both sides played nice football at times but the visitors made a lot more of their chances to finish comfortable winners. They scored three goals in each half, the scorers were Fraser Robinson (2), Jon Summerfield, Jason Willis with the goal of the game, Mike Horne and Andy Seymour. Welcome Inn’s veteran player-manager Neil White scored a goal after just twenty-seven seconds at home to Delabole as he led his charges to a 7-0 rout in Division Three. Ross Willcock claimed a hat trick with Karl Orchard, Jake Blythe and Adrian White adding further goals. North Petherwin reserves gained a second successive victory in Division Four beating Grampound reserves 2-0. Craig Charnock and Gareth Hutchings scored the goals to give the hosts a dream start to the season. Pensilva reserves beat Mevagissey 3-0. Goalless at half time, the hosts took full advantage of the slope after the restart. Jon Filbey opened the scoring with Leighton Mitchell adding the second. Filbey wrapped up the points with his second. Wadebridge were wasteful in front of goal and conceded all too easily as they slumped to a 3-2 home defeat to Tregony. It was a good day for sixteen-year-old Kai Pearce who scored a brace on his debut for Tregony with Kieran Davey getting their other goal. Paul Dingle and Aaron White replied for Wadebridge. Scott Bennett scored four goals as St.Teath thrashed St.Newlyn East reserves hitting twelve without reply as both clubs opened their seasons in Division Five. Josh Brewer added a hat trick with Andy Grills, Tom Harris, Dan Mountain, Dan Edwards and Jacob Williams completing the rout. Pelynt reserves made an impressive start beating St.Minver reserves 5-0. Tony Harman and Ryan Oxley scored a brace apiece with Dave Allsey completing the scoring. High Street playing their first ever game in the league against fellow newcomers Godolphin reserves won 6-1 with Stuart Kesson-Smith hitting a hat trick. Simon Carhart, Jake Mansell and Rob Hindle completed the visitor’s tally. Jack Scott scored the Godolphin consolation. It was a disastrous start to the season for newly named Royal Par F.C. who slumped to a fourteen nil home defeat to Standard Inn. AVFC4
St Minver 1 0 Sticker First half was a game of few chances with neither side taking control. Second half St Minver created the better openings and retained possession to greater effect. Was impressed with a number of the young Sticker players and expect them to do well this year. morcs
Duchy 1 Godolphin 3-2 Lostwithiel A very entertaining game to be involved in. Both sides try to play football the right way and in fairness this was a very even match. Godolphin scored all 3 of their goals from free kicks and a hatrick from a lad called Dan Cheadle. One in particular was an unstoppable strike. Other than that it was Lostwithiel who created most from open play and as always were wasteful in front of goal. All the away goals came in the 2nd half. The first through Dan Nancarrow with a smart swivel and strike into the bottom right corner and the other was a fantastic long range effort from player manager Graham Rule which found the top corner. Lostwithiel should definitely have got at least a point out of this game and they missed a fantastic opportunity to equalise in the last minute of the game when left back Ryan Morcom found himself in space and bearing down on goal, only to place the ball wide of the far post when a certain goal looked inevitable! Godolphin are a decent young side who I'm sure will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, but I think Lostwithiel will also be in the mix and go home deflated having failed to take a point which was deserved. Green Matador
Duchy 5. Godolphin Atlantic Reserves 1 vs High Street 6 Two newly formed teams. Windy conditions made this game for two newly formed teams hard at times. High Street played against a young quick team today and used their experience as Jake Mansell netted the first goal for High St from a defensive mix up. Robert 'Boulder'' Hindle scored the second for High St running in from the wing to slot home the second goal of the game. Godolphin kept coming forward but failed to make that final killer move. A handful of high footed tackles by godolphin were missed by the referee and play continued to the end of the half. Godolphin started quickly but a quick well struck goal from Kesson Smith for High St followed by a goal by Carhart from High St from the half way line from a free kick ( wind assisted ) more or less killed the game. Godolphin never gave up, always came forward and their midfield and forwards were tireless. Credit to them. Kesson Smith for High St netted the 5th after a through ball from rob Hambly. Godolphin then replied with a well worked goal on the counter attack chipping the keeper from just inside the box. Kesson Smith for High St completed his hat trick after dribbling through the defense and slotting in bottom corner. Godolphin fought hard and a lot of questions were asked about the high/late tackles from the young godolphin side but overall it was a good, fast paced game of football. The ref could of let the game flow a bit more at times but was generally ok.

Guest cescfab_4
Biscovey 0-1 Torpoint Athletic Goalscorer: Zak Pearce. A tightly contested game. Biscovey looked strong as a defensive unit throughout the game. We had our opportunities but failed to make them count. Our goalkeeper Matt Westall was rarely tested however he did pull out one very good save first half to keep the opposing striker at bay. I don't think Biscovey will drop many points at home this season, they are still a strong unit and could upset a few visiting sides.
