Torpoint 1 ( Bevan pen.) Parkway 2 ( Carter , Levi Landricombe ) HT 1-2

Parkway took the three points in a game that was more memorable for some of the officiating than the football , this was demonstrated by a liberal dose of debatable bookings and both sides suffering from poor decisions . Parkway took the lead through Adam Carter after he combined well with Levi Landricombe following Lance Bailey's perceptive pass , before Lee Bevan equalised from the penalty spot . Levi then put Parkway back in front when he drove into the roof of the net from the angle of the penalty area . Torpoint then appeared to have a cast iron penalty turned down when the referee overruled his assistant , before Jamie Bass was clearly brought down inside the area in the second half , only to see the referee decide it was a free kick outside the box . Carter was possibly fortunate not to see red when he kicked out at a home defender , before the referees liberal use of the card resulted in Torpoint's Ben Davies receive his marching orders for his second yellow .

Parkway were good value for the win , but were below par with the ever threatening Levi Landricombe and the composed Mike Landricombe being the outstanding players . We could never really relax on a one goal lead with an erratic referee meaning a lapse of concentration in the area could be costly , we also seemed a bit jumpy and lacking in composure in dealing with the high ball into our area .

Playing below your best and winning , isn't that what championship winning sides do ?

Good assessment . Hard fought game , in which both sides looked jaded at the end. Got to agree about the ref , some strange decisions against both sides. Good penalty shouts at both ends. Man of the match for me was Mike Landricome.

3 points in the bag , well done lads.

we will still finish in the top 6 and make senior cup final not bad after we lost our manager during the season

Well, some very strange results in the Premier League. Particular congratulations to Martin and his young Liskeard side, a most impressive point. I hope that it's not too late to avoid the drop, but either way, a most rewarding result for all their hard work.

Boys performed very well in my absence, maybe I should go skiing again!! Still a long way to go so hopefully we can build on this performance.

So you should johnperryman with that budget! Good point for martins liskeard. An impressive win for saltash at launceston & cullumpton beating newquay 5-1 was a shock score also. What happened nemesis!!

You'll have to read my match report (+pictures) in Wednesdays Newquay Voice for the full story. But if I were to mention some less than satisfactory decisions by officials, and 2 goals in 95th & 96th mins to make scoreline look worse than the performance, that would sum the game up. Superb travelling support still had a great day out and outnumbered the home fans, although that is no real surprise, it's what we do.
