Porthleven 1-3 St Dennis

Saints goals:

Scott hill

Jacob Rowe

Martin Sleeman

Martin Sleeman and Brett Allen both sent off for St Dennis.

Port goal:

Tom Annear (pen) (missed 2 pens)

St Dennis cruising inside the 1st 25 mins of the game, going 2-0 up.

Came out the 2nd half and didn't turn up, but from then on id guess it was a good game for a spectator.

Port awarded a penalty on 65mins after keeper Brett Allen had bought down the port winger, tom Annear stepped up and put his pen wide of the post, 10 mins later port were awarded a 2nd pen which this time tom Annear slotted past keeper Allen to make the score 2-1.

15 mins from time port were awarded there 3rd pen after Allen bought down ports striker which he was 2nd yellow carded and sent off, Scott hill replaced him in goal and pulled of a tremendous save to deny Annear of yet another penalty.

5 mins till the end chrissy brown ran clean through after beating his marker to square to Sleeman for a tap in and 3 points for the saints, but the drama didn't stop there, Martin Sleeman was then giving a harsh 2nd yellow for a 50/50 challenge which was only really a foul not a yellow card and was then sent off.

St Dennis held on and left with a well earned 3 points against a good young port side.

Elmore 2 ( James Blake 2 ) Parkway 6 ( Dan Hart,Adam Carter 2,Levi Landricombe 2 , Will Stringer) (HT 0-2 )

Parkway racked up 6 goals for the second time in 5 days on a bobbly pitch in the Tiverton sunshine . A low key match was brought to life in spectacular fashion on 38 minutes when Dan Hart made room for himself and found the net from long range off the underside of the bar , Adam Carter doubled the advantage just before half time when he pounced on the loose ball from Luke Rundle's cross . Levi Landricombe volleyed home while The Bald One was still counting his Fifty/Fifty winnings and , promising youngster , Will Stringer , headed in Paul Heveran's corner and then Carter picked up his second . The clean sheet was spoiled when James Blake scored twice in 3 minutes for the Eagles , possibly as a result of Gavin Coulton and Stringer leaving the pitch ( hopefully precautionary measures ahead of Wednesday's Throgmorton semi) the side seemed to switch off and lose shape momentarily . The 4 goal advantage was restored just before the end when Levi bagged his brace after fine work by Nick Rudge and Sam Hillson .

Ivybridge 3 - 1 Bovey Tracey

The pitch having passed an early morning inspection then had to withstand a heavy downpour and light drizzle leading up to kick off, thankfully the ref had made the decision to let the game go ahead.

The game started with both teams testing each other's defence, Ivybridges defence looked at 6's & 7's, after a few shouts of encouragement!!! from the home dugout they eventually got it together. Ivybridge took the lead on 15 mins when Jordan Walton shot across the keeper into the far corner for a well taken goal.

On 28 mins Ivybridge were reduced to 10 men following a straight red card, have been told it was for a 2 footed tackle, couldn't see it from my position, but could hear it. The home side looked comfortable even with 10 men for the remainder of the half.

Second half started with the visitors pressing hard for an equalising goal which came in the 54 min, fair play to the home side they never let their heads drop and defended as one unit and counter attacked with one up top. Ivybridges outlet was down the left hand side and around 68mins Walton bagged his second, taking the ball from the halfway line to the 18 yard box shooting across the keeper, which he had covered all the way, until the ball hit a divot just in front on him, and jumped over the diving keeper, much to the home crowds delight.

Ivybridge were to be fair, were holding their own, working hard on a heavy pitch, the 10 players were putting in a shift and half and fully deserved to score a 3rd goal with a powerful header back across goal in the the corner of the net by the Joe Truelove. Bovey continued to press but couldn't break down the home defence again. The 2 youngsters that came on for Bovey did well.

On the whole it was the right result. Some good football was played on a heavy pitch that held up to the conditions and well done to the ground staff for getting the game played.

Crowd 60 ish (didn't count them)

Yes Mike , spells of sunshine . The great orb in the sky was only matched by the brightness of The Bald One's smile when he won the 50/50 .

Those decisions even themselves out over a season keith! Had a draw all over it didnt you think!? Sounds like a dour day all around for you mike, long trip back west after a stuffing. Only consolation is at least its light for your journey back

Yes sir - on balance a draw would have been a fair result. :c:

Having watched this match today as a neutral, I thought Launceston were sharper at passing, defended really well and generally the better team all over the pitch.

Bodmin had a better second half but none of their players really stood out. I thought the officials did well, just a shame the young linesman didn't appear to be up with play, which led to the goal.
