Penzance to Holsworthy for an evening game?

To be fair to Penzance it was Holsworthy that looked like they'd travelled nearly 90 miles.

Front two of Callum George and Lewis Caspell caused problems all evening, especially the lad Caspell with his lightening pace.

After a first half where Penzance deservedly led 2-0, Holsworthy dominated the 2nd half but could have been playing now and still wouldn't have scored such was the chances they were missing.

Got sucker punched for a breakaway third with five minutes to go but overall on the balance of the whole 90 minutes Penzance thoroughly deserved their win.

Tavistock 0 Parkway 5 ( Richards 3 , Carter 2 ).

Comfortable win for Parkway tonight against a very young Tavi team.

I was once again impressed with Tavi's number 4 ( dont know his name ) . He was playing centre back this time and I thought was their man of the match. He is about 5 foot 2 , 18 years old and about 5 stone. A cracking player. One to watch in the future.

He would make a great left winger , wing back or outside left.( what ever you call them these days ).

Gav Coulton came off with a hamstring injury , was the only downside of the game.( not true actually , running out of pasties and those bloody midges ).

Not sure he will be fit for Friday or the finals.

Huge game now on Friday and hopefully a large crowd.

Cmon Parkway ......... it is in your hands .

Torpoint Athletic 2-2 AFC St Austell

I felt a draw was the fair result in the end. A bit feisty at times with alot of tackles flying in but generally a good game of football overall.

Torpoint goals: St Austell goals:

Lewis Kershaw (37) Carl Rickard (27)

Matt David (67) Lee Whetter (pen) (42)

nice comments KT and Keith. I would like to say a thank-you for the very warm welcome that we received from the Holsworthy officials (in my opinion up there with Sticker and Foxhole over the season). Holsworthy's fluent football was not a reflection on their league position. Great goals from Callum and Lewis, all from very tight angles, the third of which came from a superbly weighted pass from Liam Andrew. The game was well reffed by (according to programme)Barry Jackson? from Plymouth, hardly any contentious decisions, just a good old fashioned game of football. A big effort from everyone to leave work early for the 170 mile round trip but very worthwhile and a pleasure to watch.
