stokefan1
First Jubilee cup semi-final today at Helston between the top two in division 4, Camborne Park and Marazion Blues Reserves. A lovely day for a semi-final in the division 4 league cup between this season's consistently two best teams in the league and was always gonna be a good game, very glad to have George Pattinson refereeing superb referee who done a brilliant job supported by his two linesman. Marazion were a bit different from side we played in league couple games ago, but we knew with liam mooney, matt thomas, craig rennard and jason o,sullivan in attack we were going to have to be up for as they would always bring a threat going forward. We had a couple players cup-tied, pete norfolk out after a operation and one of our lads playing at cardiff city stadium with his band ( needs to learn his priorities)! The game was played throughout whole game at a high tempo and marazion probably fancied that having a full bench would benefit them with us only having two replacements, We started the game really pushing marazion back and a couple of half chances went begging before on 10 minutes Marcus Grasso the clubs top scorer was played in and he rounded the marazion keeper before slotting into the empty net to put park 1-0 up, The rest of half was end to end marazion had couple decent chances from crosses from Scott James who plays for Hayle, and Then a brilliant free-kick tipped over the bar from our keeper Jason Brooker, our front-line was causing the marazion defence all types of problems and Jordan day went close from edge box with great effort after good interplay between grasso and reece prout ( makeshift striker for the day ) half time 1-0 Park. Second half first couple minutes went by and marazion having good possession with no product in final third, all the attack being well marshalled by park's defence and 2 holding midfielders and then 5 minutes into second half a mix up in marazion defence let grasso in but marazion keeper denied him with a one handed save, but the defence didn't learn their lesson and couple minutes later a mistake at back led to grasso having just keeper to beat which he did to make it 2-0. Marazion made a few changes bringing on few lads who started league game against us, and really threw everything at us but finding it impossible to create anything when got near box, Jason O,Sullivan who was lively all match down marazion right hand-side came closest from edge box effort skimming outside of post, But park kept calm and when grasso linked with prout he was the one who put the result beyond doubt firing a 3rd past the keeper 3-0. last 5 minutes credit marazion who kept coming forward and kept trying move ball but their was just no way through and in last minute young robbie price was played in and he went for goal and narrowly missed with 3 guys in box waiting for tap in with empty net in front of them. Full time 3-0 Thanks for marazion giving us a guard of honour onto the ground, and to all people involved for 3 cracking games this season and hopefully couple more next season, and glad we stayed around see your lot get your league runners up medals and shield presented. Great day for camborne park wait for winner of newquay 3rds and helston 3rds on tuesday now.
Marazion2013
Just like to say well done to Park. We didn't play as well as we can but take nothing away from Park they played very well. Good luck to them in the final. At the start of the season our aim was to get promoted which has been achieved, and thanks to Park for returning the guard of honour and putting their celebrations on hold while applauding us receiving the runners up shield. To get to a final would have been a bonus but alas we fell in 2 semi finals. We look forward to next season in a new league and hopefully add to a very good squad of players. Whatever's happened over the last couple season one i thing i can tell their is a mutual respect between the two clubs who both leave it all out on the pitch, and thanks Paul we had game-plan fortunately for us we got the job done and took our chances. Also we were always gonna show or respect and to be honest their wasn't as many celebrations as you would of thought, we just wanted show your lot the respect for what you have done this season, and now we turn our focus to Newquay next thursday and hopefully perform again see you soon paul i am sure

Nemesis
Thanks to everyone who replied, info is much appreciated. Shame it is 6.15pm, not many supporters will make it for KO, but hopefully a few will trickle in later on.
