Bude v Liskeard

Finished 2-1 to Liskeard, think a point would have been fair.

Liskeard played some good passing football and are a decent side. They took lead and went in at HT 1-0 up. We equalised in 15 minutes into the 2nd half and took the game to them. Both sides continued to play football, when with 10 minutes to go Liskeard got the winner.

Good bunch of lads and we look forward to the away game in a couple of weeks.

How did the officials from both sides and the referee do as sometimes this can be issues with some clubs on occasions. Some have good days, some have bad ones

It did appear the winner may have been offside but the ref and linesman do a great job, who without we wouldn't have a game. We (Bude) move on and look for 3 points next week! Well played Liskeard!

Fair description Heywood, I was resigned to a draw with 15 minutes remaining and would have settled for a point but having a young proven goal scorer on the bench, it was worth giving him 15 minutes and luckily it paid off.

Regarding the officials, I think we look for consistency rather than brilliance and I thought that all 3 officials were consistent yesterday and did a very good job. The ref came up to me after the game and asked for some feedback, which was a nice touch and I passed on my opinions to him.

Great game, great food and a great bunch of lads, see you at ours on the 27th.
