tango602
I think St Austell might need a bit of luck in the 4th Round as Greenwich Borough reached the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup this season aswell having gotten these results: Extra Preliminary Round: Greenwich Borough 2-1 Lancing Preliminary Round: Greenwich Borough 5-2 St Francis Rangers First Qualifying Round: Greenwich Borough 1-0 Chessington & Hook United Second Qualifying Round: Beaconsfield SYCOB 1-3 Greenwich Borough Third Qualifying Round: Greenwich Borough 1-0 Redhill Fourth Qualifying Round: Worcester City 2-1 Greenwich Borough Should indicate a tough game ahead, however on the Bodmin front I am fairly confident that Bodmin will beat Phoenix Sports and reach the last 16 of the Vase for the 2nd time in 3 seasons. midlandlilywhite
Just looked at their website, Greenwich Borough are Step 5 in SE Counties Premier League. Good record this season, false position in league due to backlog of matches due to Vase run. They do groundshare with Dartford, it will a great opportunity for the boys to play on a Conference ground. Unfortunately I shall miss this match as I am abroad in January and early February, however I'll be following om the ipad ! Good luck to the boys. Dave Deacon
Attendance Stats 3rd best in league is Greenwich Borough with their highest attendance being 173 and average 134. Up +25.23% on last season while Phoenix Sports is 9th best in league with highest 143 and average 75. Down -8.54% on 2013-
Tony
Greenwich only lost 2-1 to Worcester in the FA Cup and they have since beaten Coventry and drew away to Scunthorpe yesterday so are in the 3rd round draw tonight. Indication that it will be a very tough test for St.Austell - would have prefered it at Poltair but that'll have to wait for the 5th round if we're lucky enough to get through!! Agree, high catchment area for players. Would have been difficult enough if 'town' were home, but away, tough. At least both 'town' and Bodmin avoided each other. But it's all on the day. Long 'ol trip though.
Pat 365
This will be a tough match for St Austell, Greenwich have only lost one of the last 19, which was the Worcester match and have a good number of players with higher league experience. But will be a good day out to a decent conference ground, not the biggest, but from memory a tidy set up, covered on all four sides and easy access from the M25. Paul
That's the kind of away trip this competition is all about. Just typical we drew Bodmin. I'd love to see sides in the same division not able to play each other.
leedsunited
Away days are great Paul, but in reality a home tie is what you look for in ways of progression into next round
Paul
True but the fun of the F.A cup and Vase is to visit new clubs and places you wouldn't likely go to if it wasn't for football.
