All home wins in the Premier, with the exception of Newquay who will win at Godolphin as i saw they are playing a weakend side ready for Monday, Parkway who will win at an improving Elburton after a drubbing at Witheridge midweek & St.Austell who will win at St.Blazey by the odd goal.

Elburton  0  Parkway 6

L.Landricombe 2, Neale 2 , Hoyland 1, M.Landricomde 1.

A comfortable win for Parkway in wet and windy conditions against a much improved Elburton team

( since the last time I saw them ).  Some very tough games left and a place in the top 4 would be a good effort from a difficult season. My man of the match today was Ross Hoyland.

Keep plugging away lads.

Godolphin certainly had a mostly second string playing, Newquay a real mix bag of Peppermints but had more players than G with SWPL experience. Awful freezing cold wind straight off the Ocean meant G played with the wind uphill first half, scored from a corner that swirled about, not sure if it went straight in or not.

Second half and Newquay aided by the wind pinned the G back, Shepherd clambered all over Coopers back in the box with the ball going nowhere, Ref gave Pen which Cooper scored. Josh Fearon had the ball in the net but the lino flagged for offside (for the umpteenth time), even the Ref thought otherwise but was convinced to change his mind. The winner came as Cooper sent in a curling cross from the touchline, Carhart got something on it to guide it inside the post.

Bitterly cold wind straight down the pitch, made for a dreadful spectacle, watched by a pitiful low crowd of less than 200 (estimated). Still, 3 points and bragging rights belong to the Towns Club, makes no difference to us if G had a shiny pot on their minds, I'm sure they would have felt the same if the roles were reversed.

I would have said that shooting towards the changing rooms was uphill but could be wrong.

Deathly silence when Newquay equalised. For my first "surf city" derby, it wasn't as ferocious as I thought it would be and there seemed little passion and noise from the crowd but the icy win Nemesis alludes to probably played a part. Although when Shaun Edge flagged for offside that often brought about a roar of disapproval from the Newquay contingent. It seemed surreal when Fearon netted from a one on one. The player who was though, had he shot, he would probably have scored but chose to pass it to the player in an offside position brought amusement from those not involved!

Willow, the game was poorly advertised in the two 'local' papers, all about some game in Liskeard on Monday. It didn't help that 'G' went public to announce they would be playing a second string and of course the weather will have put many off. The game wasn't as frenetic as usual, may well have been different if it was both first teams playing.

Certainly not as many Peppermints supporters headed down the road as there has been in recent years, again probably due to the above. Hopefully, Boxing Day will see normal service restored, always a better day for football IMO.

I'll have to check out Boxing Day then. I know Good Friday football doesn't have the same atmosphere as Boxing Day.

Bodmin v camelford played out in horrendous conditions but produced a cracking game if u were a camels supporter   With the ball sticking and players sliding about it was a credit to both teams that although physical the game was played fairly  Camelford adapted to the conditions quickly and with a high pressing game took the game to there loftier opponents , Bodmin struggled to get there passing game together understandably and the first half ended honours even With the pitch now deteriorating with more rain camelford were awarded a free kick out on the left and from a nod on at near post ball fell to josh insley to prod it home , half hour to go and Bodmin substitute was introduced he immediately had a good chance that he spurned but his next opportunity he took with real coolness slotting it past keeper into the corner. The last 15 was backs to the wall for camels with occasional breakouts but we were getting caught offside to regularly, balsdon and insley were subbed as had given everything and as the clock ticked into injury time Carter who hadn't had a kick all game vollied the ball high into net for the winner bit of a heartbreaker to take but overall a tremendous effort from camelford in which all 11 deserved at least a point for there efforts but that's football . Hard to choose an individual for MOM as all played well but Dan Metherall gets my vote

Was at the match yesterday standing by some miserable buggers my little dog went up to them wagging his tail and they went shoo shoo i said come away Smokie miserable sods . Well onto the football Newquay beat Godolphin reserves big dealarrow-10x10.png the G had 1 player who does play quite regular that was Tom Shepherd the rest i have not seen many before but for a big bloke no9 Millson had a good touch didnt go much on the game thought Jack Bray Evans was very greedy when on the ball but my man OF THE MATCH would go to Newquays big no4 dont know who he was maybe Sam Cooper . At least Newquay can now concentrate on rebuilding for next season under Sasha Wheatman who will do good things at Mt Wise . Looking forward to Mondays match the final at Liskeard maybe some of the St Austell players will be tired out never thought they would of put out there 1st team vs St Blazey . Should be a cracker of a game but St Austell will win i think they seem to be knocking in goals for fun at the moment

Penryn 0-0 Illogan after 44 mins. Red card and penalty to Penryn for 'deliberate' handball.

Penryn used their extra man advantage well in the second half to run out 4-0 winners.

Very frustrating for us as we were looking comfortable and threatening on the break until the red card.

If Penryn had hit the target in the first half it would have been a lot more than four.

Didnt Penryn have a shot on target then in the first half?

Seem to remember a penalty saved and a couple of other saves from the Illogan keeper, both first and second half.

Never a sending off, changed/ruined the game at that point!

Poor ref throughout

I'm told that one of the reasons some don't come on here anymore is that "I know its difficult but the problem is you cannot have a sensible debate or rumour on the site as it is inundated with ‘trolls’ who’s only purpose is to get at certain clubs, not banter at all. Its also no use coming on to put a sensible point as it is just pouring oil on troubled waters."

Hence why I have removed some of this thread!

Paul I have never heard so much rubbish, 5 - 0 don't be silly, give godolphin some credit they are a great side and one not to fold and do not concede many goals.

It's not St. Blazey they are playing you know!!!

Got the Nil bit correct and the winning team correct and that St Austell will be to good for Godolphin on the day correct. Maybe 8 bigged St Austell up to much with only the 3 goals!! Oh well.

Good referee in my opinion. Yes, penalty saved along with a couple of other saves. The shots off target were numerous though, could have been a lot bigger score.

Could have been 8-2 some of us thought.

You did look comfortable, without being threatening however, left winger looked good, you will do well to keep him.

One of a few people we will do well to keep. Not scored now in 180 minutes. Only 6 teams scored fewer goals than us in the league this year!!
