THE BALD ONE
2 _ 0 To Parkway. Neale and P.Heveran the scorers. Awful game to watch. Parkway with a injured players on the pitch and on the bench. Dull first half with very little on target.Early in the second half Newquay down to 10 men , second yellow for their tempermental no9.Proper end of season league game when both teams playing for nothing. We will need to play much better than that against St Austell or we will get a good hiding. Mom was their keeper , several fine saves.Come on lads keep on going. We still have a final too look forward too.

Wellpassedit
Because Parkways mom was the ref. Gave Parkway every decision on there appeal and the young Newquay team very little.
Nemesis
Two players shone, Tom Vercoe in goal for Newquay, made three superb saves and Josh Fearon the Newquay No.10, gave Parkways defence something to think about on a quiet-ish afternoon. Peppermints had to draft in 5 of the reserve side to start the match, injuries, suspensions and work all taking their toll but they did very well to defend for long periods, played worse and won in the past.Interesting to listen to the Parkway fans in the second half, not a clue who the manager will be, worried that St Austell (and Godolphin) will beat them if they play in a similar fashion, and equally scathing of the ref who made some strange decisions for both sides. Have to say, that despite the Parkways fans being unhappy with the performance, you can tell they are very well organised side who try to play through you, rather than lump the ball as other clubs do. It must be worrying that only Levi and Andrew Neal are regular goalscorers, if they lost one or both of them, things could be much different. Without a single regular scorer, clearly this is a problem that Newquay don't have.........
Nemesis
Not too worrying to have two regular goalscorers playing! Without a single regular scorer, clearly this is a problem that Newquay don't have.........With the low budget we have, we are fortunate to get a team out every week, let alone a striker who can get 20, 30 or 40+ goals a season - the difference on the day was, Parkways fans were more unhappy with their team than the travelling Peppermints were with ours. It is all about expectations, Newquay fans knew at the start of the season that avoiding relegation was the only thing that mattered, anything else would be a bonus. The win v Ivybridge, good draws with Exmouth and Bodmin, a couple of Vase wins and 4pts from the neighbours, results like that have made this season for us, it is why the fans have stayed loyal. And yes LeedsUnited, the Ref was disappointing, he didn't pick the winning lottery numbers for me yet again !
