Recommended Posts

Hope Midlandwhite enjoys the game think St Austell will win 3-1 after i saw the team list and saw Adam Carter wasnt playing for Bodmin was going to drive there but floodlit football i find hard to follow the action .Went Bodmin last week to watch the Parkway match and just could not follow the action at all .Hope the St Austell fans dont give Bodmin Goalie Kevin Miller too much stick and our not rude to him bet he will be glad when hes retired but he will be missed next season . All the best St Austell for a brilliant season so unfair you was refused promotion to a higher league

A great evening, been waiting for 46 years for this ! Congratulations to the lads, the management and the committee on such a wonderful achievement. Well done to Bodmin too for their great sportsmanship at the end to applaud the Lillywhites off the pitch, a touch of class. Excellent attendance - 525. Excellent goalkeeping by Kevin Miller, showed what a quality keeper he is in keeping the score down.

Very good, professional performance last night from St Austell and to say the Kevin Miller was probably Bodmin's MotM, says how the game went. Could have been 5 or 6 for St Austell but for Miller. No stick given out to Miller at all, fans were very respectful towards him although there was a bit of banter (two way) especially in second half. All the Town fans acknowledged how well he had played and will be a loss to Cornish football next season.

Worthy Champions this season as I am sure everyone would agree. League and Cup double as well as FA Vase semi finalists show incredible commitment from all involved, especially the players who during April have been playing pretty much 3 games a week!!! Great fitness levels and motivation shown and it has finally paid off.

Congratulations to Phil and team as well as any other behind the scenes!

Special mention to Bodmin players who stayed on the pitch to applaud St Austell off it after the final whistle. Touch of class shown there!

Finally, I would struggle to pick ONE player of the season, it's hard to look past anyone in the back five (Chapman, Lean, Giles, Whetter, Watts), plus the workmen like midfield (many to pick from over course of the season) and off course the goals upfront from Liam Eddy. It's difficult to single anyone out!

Well deserved break for St Austell players now, albeit 3 games to play and although they are not taking promotion there will be a lot to play for (and retain) next season.
