Knighter
Ha ha ha this forum is priceless . Every other thread on here going on about the drop in standards and how it's the same old same old every season and yet as soon as a young lad may get a chance ina friendly it's out of order ! You lot make me laugh . don't you think the st Austell supporters would be delighted to see a young lad play in a meaningless game tomorrow and do well saving the club hundreds in the same overpaid recycled rubbish on the circuit ? Absolutely baffles me, you moan that the same players just move clubs every year and then say playing young lads is out of order ! Mental . Ben Howard
Knighter i have suggested that it would be good to see a couple of your talented youngsters get a run out in a previous post. Pre season is not about getting results its about fitness and experimenting with the squad. The first team manager is always willing to blood a youngster so I expect to perhaps see a couple at St Dennis. As you rightly say youngsters are the future of a successful club

Tribute
why use second team players? maybe they might have done really well in pre season and deserve to be involved? Just a thought.Sorry but in my opinion too early to be "rewarding"!What, take him along, give him 5 minutes and disillusion him before the season has even begun and that might also mean the seconds running the risk of losing a playerSo you give him his 1st chance when short against bodmin or parkway . Don't think so , if you think they are good enough you play them in a few friendlies and see how they react to the big step up .

Tribute
I think phill knows what to expect from the players he had last season and their fitness levels . Taken a 2nd teamer along , I think , rewards him for hardwork and sets a example to the rest of the 2nds . We are not talking about a full 90 , maybe 10/15 mins . We know in the 1st few friendlies there are plenty of changes . The likelihood of it being hot as well as players only needing say 60 mins max on the 1st few games strengthens the position to bring in a couple fringe players . By the way , I'm not saying phill will bring any of the 2nds . Season nearly here ?? ⚽️⚽️

It couldve been an off day for them, couldve been missing players, i don't know. You can only beat what is put infront of, which on saturday, wasn't much. Nonetheless parkway looked good and were ruthless and punished when they could. Good luck in the next round.
Mark Blake
I'm led to believe (wrongly or rightly) that Darren Hicks is also Parkway bound and won't kick a ball for Elburton. They have signed him purely to help Parkway out and use the loophole in the transfer system so they don't have to wait 28 days having already taken Ryan from Bodmin in the same week!! If I'm wrong then I'll make my informant stay behind after lessons and do lines . . . .
