WendronOfficial Posted June 21, 2015 Report Share Posted June 21, 2015 Wendron FC pre season begins on Thursday 25th June , 6.45pm start at the Dron.The sessions will then be every Tuesday and Thursday thereafter.Under the new management of Stuart Massey, and following on from last season’s success both on and off the pitch, Massey states that, "This is the place to be, for the future". He invites all existing senior mens, and new players to join him, and his team, starting this Thursday.Massey has wasted no time in putting together the pre season campaign that will allow players the basic and fundamental platform to get themselves in shape for the forthcoming season.Demonstrating his intent to implement his professionalism into the club, Massey has employed “Cornwall High Performance” to deliver the fitness programme through pre season. He also announces that there will be “Guest" coaches to also help deliver the footballing side of the pre season.Sponsorship has been secured to allow the first team squad to don new kit and matchday attire, including kit bags.Massey also announced that he has reached agreement with a physiotherapy practise that will allow any of his players to receive initial consultation and treatment if injured throughout the season, and again costs are being met by sponsorship.Wendron Reserve side, also under new management of Andrew Mitchell and Josh McDonald, have be invited to take part in the “Ron Curnow Memorial Trophy”. Their squad will play against St Keverne, Lizard and Mullion Football Clubs, with matches taking place the week commencing 27th July. The finals day taking place on the 1st August 2015 at Mullion FC.
