THE BALD ONE
That is not a good draw for our West Country teams. Too many playing each other.

tango602
Very disappointing draw in my opinion, would rather have been away to Brislington and my attendance at the Preliminary Round should we advance remains to be seen....
Paul
Rubbish. Only 5 SWPL sides in the F.A cup. Must be an all time low for SWPL entries. Very disappointing. As for the FA Vase, what is the point in have draws so regional that most teams are playing sides from their own division. Really boring and not really anything exciting to look forward to. I'm sure there's been enough people who have moaned enough to get this situation. Well now we have it. Who thought it was a good idea to have it like this so we just end up with basically league fixtures with a few quid on it.

leedsunited
Blazey should of done better last season then Paul then you might of qualified! Cant blame anyone else. You certainly spent enough on your imports from Devon to of qualified. Its only a game!!!
Mike Odgers
Consecutive Saturdays Falmouth v Newquay SWPL & VaseThis will be the first Vase meetings betwee the clubs although Newquay have visited Bickland Park 5 times in the F A CupSpare a thought for Western League club Bristol Manor Farm who made the journey to Falmouth on successive Saturdays in 2002-03 losing both F A Cup & Vase ties. Paul
Shouldn't be about qualifying. It should be open to every club who meet the required ground standard. If it means an earlier round for clubs who finished lower so be it.
the hoff
Of course it should be about qualifying! It would devalue the competition if anyone could enter it.
Paul
In what way? Say your drawn away at Shepton Mallet. What different would it make to Bodmin if the opposition finished 5th or 15th last season? Absolutely nothing. Edited July 4, 2015 by Paul
Home Waters
Paul - you have not thought it through - with hudreds of extra clubs you would have the first preliminary round before last seasons final in may..!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul
Id be surprised if you new what they did earn. Either way some of the under performers have long gone. Still.....why the draw needs to be so regionalised is beyond me. The idea of playing national competitions is to play other sides outside of the usual league season. It's more like a league cup draw than a Vase draw. Boring.

Paul
I very much doubt it.
leedsunited
Maybe due to club expenses Paul the first 2/3 rounds are regionalised due to the prize money on offer not being enough to cover the travel distances for some clubs in the early rounds if they were drawn up North somewhere, or Clubs up North being drawn down here? Paul
Dosnt need to be that far. Just say from Somerset to Cornwall.
davegrose
Dosnt need to be that far. Just say from Somerset to Cornwall. That's still gonna cost a fair bit
Guest
What devalues the competition is when teams refuse to travel for a midweek replay. Frome Town spring to mind and Shepton Mallet were glad to have lost a game in the last minute as it would have prevented a long midweek replay. Paul
Well if clubs do that they shouldn't be allowed to enter again for the next 5 years. Simple as that.

That's pretty much what it was last season in the opening couple of rounds, I would know as I had a lovely away day in South Bristol
