Pre-Season Friendly Result

Okey started the brighter with Ross Voaden hitting the bar in the 2nd minute and deservedly took the lead in the 37th minute, courtesy of a fine turn and finish from 12 yards by Jason Cordice.

Cordice thought he had given Okey a 2-0 lead on the stroke of half time, but the goal was disallowed for offside (looked like the full back was playing him on but difficult to tell).

Camelford picked things up after the break, forcing Aaron Dearing into a couple of smart saves, but Okey should have increased their lead on the hour when Brad Ausden was set up inside the 6yd box but his goal bound shot was well saved by the Camelford keeper.

Five minutes later and Camelford were level when Mark Gusterton's header was well saved by Aaron Dearing, but Adam Sleep was on hand to fire home the rebound.

With Gusterton starting to cause a tiring Okey defence problems, Camelford took the lead in the 77th minute when Aaron Dearing spilt a long range effort and Adam Sleep nipped in to punish the Okey keeper for his error.

Okey pushed hard for an equaliser and Jason Cordice went close with a late effort that flashed narrowly wide.

All in all it was a good workout for both sides with Camelford benefiting from having already played one friendly as their extra bit of fitness was all the difference in a match well contested and well referee'd by Martin Smith.

Good report Kev but you missed the penalty for Camleford when a free kick was given outside the box although Martin did say he was well positioned to see it from 30 yards away! but agree good work out for both teams and well done to Martin
