soccer fan
I have today checked with the FA as to the situation with repeat substitutions in preseason matches. Only teams who play in a league that uses repeat substitutions are permitted to use this providing they are playing a team from the same league or another league that uses repeat substitutions.Repeat Substitutes (Rolling Subs) are NOT permitted to be used in any other preseason matches. Dave Deacon
What's wrong with the ref and both sides coming to a pre-match agreement. Always worked in the past! Let's face who's going to know or care anyway!
soccer fan
Dave it was rules sent out by the fa. To answer your question who carers well most referees will not but it could invailidates the teams insurance and could lead to bans and fines. I know its very petty. Most referees allow it and also allow if a player gets in a sticky stituation or is heated ask the player to leave the field and come back on. However what effect would this have during the season. All referees use common sense and try to help clubs out where possible. Mike Odgers
In the 1970's you had to declare all Pre Season Friendlies with the CCFA and most definitely NO matches in JUne (The Close Season). In Charity matches you had to affiliate and insure the teams involved and no way could you have a mixed (men/women) on the same pitch. Then along came beach football tournaments which were banned.Oh for the good old days when the CCFA AGM was a very entertaining event with a full turnout
B Manning
Mike all referees's now have to use the FA whole game system where all matches have to be registered on the system, this facilitates red and yellow card and any disciplinary reports being submitted. Richard Rundle
It's a mockery that players get fined and possibly suspended for yellow & red cards picked up in what is, to all intents and purposes, a public training session.
