THE BALD ONE Posted September 19, 2015 Report Share Posted September 19, 2015 Back to back poor results........ We had enough chances to take the points , but the Ivy keeper was superb . Probably one of the best I have seen in this league for a long while. Poor finishing and sloppy defending cost us this game . The back 3 looked slow and stretched when the youthful Ivy wingers and forwards attacked. To be fair Ivy only had one sub and a weakened side. Big credit to them. I thought Joe Truelove was superb at centre back . I ran a youth team for 8 years and it was great to see 4 players from my teams age group on the pitch. Shows how strong that year was. Hart , Rowe , Hanrahan and Sutton. To add to that Rocky Neal was of the same age group.With Lewis and Colwell in the centre of midfield , we should win more games than we are at present. Seems the rest of the team are not always on the same wave length. Are we setting our stall out to accomodate certain players ?This I feel is going to be a long and unpredictable season , beat teams we are not expected too and lose to teams we should beat.Still not convinced with 3 at the back.
