panda
surprised to see Parkways game on. Been more rain last night and today than there was the twice it was called off. Was it a case of having to play it or forfeit home advantage ? Good result though Also ECPL Torpoints got a good surface because they have good groundsmen!!!! Dave Deacon
Plenty of goals at Oxland Parc where it finished 5-5 between Illogan and Vospers. The visitors will no doubt be disappointed that but for a very late equaliser they would have been celebrating victory, but instead they should still be pleased with the way they got their very first point of the season. With the pitch in immaculate condition, unfortunately it was always going to be a wind-affected game and a case of who would do more with a very strong breeze behind them when playing down the slope towards the clubhouse end.Illogan had it behind them for the first half and going in 3-1 at the interval, the lead never looked as if it would be enough! It wasn't helped with conceding a 16th minute goal to give the division's bottom side an early advantage, nor wasting opportunities, especially at the end of the first half which looked even more crucial as the visitors fought back to level the match at 3-3.There was still twenty minutes remaining on the clock, but this game had more goals written all over it and the crowd wasn't disappointed as Illogan once more took the lead, however only again for Vospers to respond and on 86 minutes their comeback looked complete as they once again went in front.90 minutes was up, the Plymouth-based side must have thought their long wait for a win was at last over, but not so! They hadn't allowed for Illogan showing character and forcing them back for the added on time and with three minutes gone of the five allowed by referee Steve Annis, Tom Hogarth hit an unstoppable equaliser into the roof of Vospers net with a bicycle kick volley worthy to be one of MOTD's goals of the month!A game not for the football connoisseur, but both sides can come away from it with their heads held high. leedsunited
Bodmin 6-2 St.Blazey, credit to all who helped get it on. Although missing 8 players (including frontmen Carts & Rocky) without being disrespectful to St.Blazey we coasted through most parts of the game. Probably the worst we have played all season 2nd half & should of stuck away more of the chances we had. As for Blazey, doomed for relegation, very poor. Blues10
Not a game for defenders at teignmouth. 60 minutes with 10 men for Helston. We've got a lot of work to do. Credit to teignmouth, and the groundsman! All the best lads some very good players in that side!
Gongolan
Another heartbreak for camelford 2 up and playing as good as we have all season we start to drop deeper and one long punt from the keeper is not dealt with and exmouth back in it then just before halftime their striker beat 3 on the side line and layed back the perfect ball to kiss the post and nestle in the back of the net. Second half and it gets worse 3 2 down and we've lost our shape it takes a special strike from Boxall to bring us back Thought we would claim a much needed point but with 5 mins to go hesitation at the back costs us again Good first goal for new signing Cordice and Balsdon with a header to start us off
leedsunited
Witheridge 4 - Newquay 1Both teams battled bravely against a strong wind blowing down the pitch from start to finish, attended by driving rain. Witheridge started with the wind and within 5 minutes were 2 nil up. Newquay fought to contain the blue tide as Withy came at them continuously during the first twenty minutes, but were second best to the slick accurate passing of Witheridge. When Newquay scored their goal after some slick passing, they began to look as though they might turn the game around, but Witheridge scored again and at the break it was 3-1 with Withy looking comfortable. During the second half the game was a little more end to end and Newquay looked dangerous at times, but, Witheridge overall were the better side and scored a fourth goal and but for some great saves by the Newquay keeper, could have had more. Newquay were awarded a penalty late in the second half, only to see it well saved by the Witheridge keeper.A very good game to watch, played in awful conditions and the pitch being treacherous under foot. Well done to both sides for controlling the ball so well and giving us some great entertainment.I would just like to add, that the match was preceded by two minutes silence, by players and spectators, in respect of the horrendous murderous attacks in Paris, resulting in so many deaths of innocent people.Thats 9/10 defeats on the bounce for Newquay, looking over their shoulder at the bottom now i should think, Certainly struggling at Mt.Wise, on agood few quid aswell if reports are correct
albert
There was a lot of confusion about the kick off time at the Mill. I think it confused the players. Cullompton kicked off at 2.30, Torpoint Athletic much much later
